The Kreg Heavy-Duty Pocket-Hole Jig gives you the strength you need to tackle big projects, such as framing walls and building deck railings, backyard furniture, fences and benches. It features an efficient design and industrial-quality hardened steel drill guides, and is optimized for working with 2 ft. x 4 ft. and larger stock. 3 anti-corrosion layers provide incredible long-term moisture resistance. Pair this jig with a Kreg face clamp or jig bench top base (models K3 or K4) to tackle a variety of projects.
- 1/2 in. heavy-duty drill bit, stop block, 6 in. driver and stop collar included
- Optimized for large outdoor projects

Love my Kreg jig, and this addition has already proven it’s worth on a couple projects. If you are doing work with 2 x 4’s or larger, especially for outdoor space; this is definitely the way to go. The screws can be a bit expensive, but in my mind, worth it!

The product with a little help from YouTube & doing a test is a great tool. It is straight forward to use once you think things out a little & test of scrap wood. Follow directions to set up the bit & you are on your way .

Does what it states but still a bit pricey. Cheap piece of plastic. More like $40. You still have to pay for screws, why not come down on your tool prices?

From somebody who is “stepping up” from the Kreg R3 pocket hole jig, my unboxing enthusiasm was met with disappointment that Kreg does not include a handy little case with this jig, especially given the price. With so many components, you’d think a case would be a must! They do include 10 HD screws (very thoughtful). The jig itself is very solid, the one piece construction eliminates all the bend and play in the R3 system when performing pocket hole joinery on 1.5″ material. Kreg really needs to step up to the T25 star bit though…using an impact driver on 1.5″ material I am constantly stripping screws. Im sure the Kreg R&D team has some objection to this and I would be interested in knowing what it is..

I’m very happy with this purchase. The Kreg HD makes a strong joint possible in larger lumber without the need for fancy joinery. I made this project with this product and it turned out great. I highly recommend this product for DIY people that need an easy way to create something fantastic that also needs to be strong. I will be using this on future projects as well.

This an excellent product if u need to make strong joints i.e. 4x4s to 4x4s. Holes are bigger and HD screws are thicker.

Works as advertised!!! Creates extremely solid connections. Used it to construct desk top 27″ X 8′ X 4′ “L” out of red oak. No glue required. Looks great and is super strong. Only improvement is I’d like to see the base and wings, on my K5, made from aluminum rather than molded plastic. Would provide much improved rigidity and support for the various jigs.
