Great projects start with high-quality cuts, and you can make those cuts—more easily than you ever imagined—using your circular saw plus the Rip-Cut™ Circular Saw Edge Guide. The Kreg® Rip-Cut™ turns your circular saw into a precision edge-guided cutting tool that makes straight, accurate, repeatable cuts in plywood, MDF, and other large sheets. With the Rip-Cut™, you can cut w/ the confidence you want and the precision you need. The Rip-Cut™ easily makes straight, accurate, repeatable cuts without measuring, marking, or having to keep the saw on the cut line. The Rip-Cut™ does this with a long edge guide that follows the straight edge of the sheet you are cutting. So, all you have to do is lock the saw in at the measurement you want—up to 24″—using the built-in measuring scale, and then make your cut. With a built-in measuring scale, you don’t have to measure and mark each cut, either. Just lock the saw sled at your desired cut width, and you’re all set, whether you need to cut one piece or make multiple pieces of the exact same size. Plus, the Rip-Cut™ makes it easier to cut down large sheets by yourself and is very easy to use. Simply mount your saw to the universal sled—it accepts most left-blade or right-blade saws—and then slide the sled onto the aluminum rail. After a simple one-time calibration, you can lock in your cut width (up to 24″) using the measuring scale and precision cursor. Then, just hold the edge guide against the edge of your sheet as you guide the saw.

Works great for quick and easy cuts when you have a factory edge.

This tool worked Great. In the past I would freehand cut or use a small table saw on the ground. I was able to make several cuts. Very smooth with perfect measurements, great for replacing flooring sections.

Does exactly as it is advertised

Works great! Easy to install and align. Watch YouTube videos on install and use. Works best with foam sheet under the board you are cutting.

I have 3 circular saws and i chose to modify one of them to fit. None of them would fit without cutting the base plate. It is a little flimsy but seems to work good

Great little tool since I don’t have a proper table saw! Nice, straight, long cuts!

Works really well. Instructions take a bit to follow along to, but once you know how it’s setup it’s easy to connect and disconnect the saw. It’s also easy to set the desired measurements. It works well with the Ryobi battery circular saw

The Kreg Rip cut is fairly easy to assemble. The circular saw slides right onto it and easily connects in place. Unfortunately it wasn’t until I was several attempted cuts in that I realized that it didn’t come properly calibrated. Even though I verified that my saw was right on the 0 marking, the red line on the tape measure was off by a 1/4″. So all my cuts were off by 1/4″. I never could get the red line moved into the exact 0 position so I settled on making my cuts 1/16 off.Really the 24″ is more like 5″ since it works well from 5-10″. Anything more than that and it’s very hard to keep the jig against the wood while pushing the circular saw forwards. The tape measure doesn’t even start until 1 despite the listing saying that it works from 1/8″ to 24″. I was really hoping to make lots of wide cuts with this, but ultimately it is not rigid enough and wont stay against the wood. My suggestion would be to have wheels along the guide portion so that it can more smoothly follow the edge.It is also really difficult to keep a straight edge at the end of your cut because the guide is no longer supported. the last 2-3″ are mostly freehand.I have attempted / made about 20 cuts with a few being straight. I do not recommend this product.

Works great, delayed the “Need” for a table saw

This performed better than I expected. Made cutting shelves very easy to keep them the same and when I needed to change the size, it was quick and easy. Excellent tool that saved me tons of time.

well designed and easy to use

Perfect tool to cut straight lines. I am very please with this saw guide. I would’ve preferred if the part that attaches to the saw was metal instead of plastic. I hope it does not break some time in the future.

It’s a little flimzy. It’s hard to setup my DCS391 in a way that doesn’t move, or curve the plate it sits on. I ended up modifying it to secure it properly. It’s also hard to cut small board with it.

Less useful than thought. The guide is fine but picky to dial in. The rail is useful as a straight edge though.

great tool to turn circular saw into table saw to flit plywood

While not a substitute for a high end table saw set up, it does a great job of making long rips on large panels.

Used this with my 1990’s skilsaw to rip down some 3/4 ply…worked great and I was amazed at how near perfect the cut was.

First and most importantly, this jig does work and it enables repetitive cuts without measuring. I used it to cut narrow strips ( a few inches wide) and it did it accurately. I was thinking to get a small table saw for some simple home uses. But this jig actually serve all my needs and thus save me a table saw. (Don’t need one any more.)But, I somehow got this impression after bought two Kreg products: they are really cheaply made. It always use cheap plastics, With this jig, I found even the screws are barely long enough. For example, there are two screws holding two metal arms to attach the circular saw in place. If you loose the screws a little too much while adjusting the saw, the nuts in the other end will fall to ground. The jig is really very useful but I really wish they use better grade mate4rials.

Better with than without when cutting straight lines.
