The Kreg Easy-Set Pocket-Hole Drill Bit with Step Collar and Gauge/Wrench is the same stepped bit that comes with 300-Series Kreg Pocket-Hole Jigs. This bit features engraved markings for 1/2 in., 3/4 in., 1-1/2 in., along with the matching Easy-Set Stop Collar. Material Thickness Gauge allows you to easily determine material thickness (1/2 in., 3/4 in., 1-1/2 in. ) easily, too. A 1/4 in. hex-shank fits all standard quick-change chucks. Compatible with all Kreg Pocket-Hole Jigs.

I purchased the Kreg Pocket Hole jig 310. There are excellent instructional videos on you tube for first time users like me. I wanted to use pocket holes to attach a deck rail cap from below and the jig worked perfectly. Unfortunately the end of the bit broke off in a knot (lesson learned do not try to put a pocket hole in a knot) and I needed a replacement. I see other folks comment about broken bits, that’s why they sell just the bit, which is better than having to buy the entire kit again.

Huge improvement. I broke my bit from a 5 year old Kreg Jig, no fault of Kreg. Just dropped it in the drill and the tip broke off the bit. The circle indicators are a huge improvement over the old way. Also the key makes it a lot easier to use and more difficult to lose.

I broke my but that came with my Kreg jig. This bit has the markings on it for the size of wood where you should secure the stop. It makes it much faster to set up.

I love using Kreg Jigs in building cabinets. My only complaint is when make repetitive drill holes, sometimes the collar slips causing depth problems. You need to recheck the collar placement periodically.
