The Kreg Jig R3 is the perfect solution for any homeowner who builds projects with wood. With the Kreg Jig R3, you can make home improvements, build bookcases and shelves, storage projects, make lasting repairs, and much more. The Kreg Jig R3 can be secured to the work piece with any standard bar clamp or C-clamp. In addition, the R3’s Clamp Pad Adapter allows the jig to be attached directly to any Kreg Face Clamp for faster and more repeatable pocket holes. From thin drawer boxes and craft projects to stout 2 x 4s, this jig can handle just about anything. Independent Positioning Sliders feature nine depth settings, allowing you to easily join materials from 1/2 in. to 1-1/2 in. thick in 1/8 in. increments. Comes with a durable carrying case to keep materials organized and to make sure that you always have the tool, drill bit, and screws on hand to complete your next project. To set the jig properly, simply depress the button on the side of the jig and move the sliders so your material thickness is aligned with the arrow on the jig body. It’s that easy.

So I’ve had this product sitting in my garage for over a year now, as I had big ambitions of building a bedroom suite last year. I’m currently building my garage workbench and decided now was a great time to try it out. I had some left over 2×4 which I cut down into about 6 inch blocks to test and play with the process before I used it on my bench wood. The system worked great once I did a couple tests with it, and then I drilled all the framing 2x4s. The problem came with that stupid plastic piece that your clamp goes into!!! Every time I released the clamp and moved it that piece would unclip itself from the jig and the whole thing would fall to the floor, almost every time! I would recommend this to anyone, but I’m more than likely going to superglue that piece into place once I’m done!

worked great. I needed something I could use to firm up a railing newel post at the base. Had to be able to just have the jig sit against the side surface of the post and the floor, free standing, then clamp to the post to secure for drilling. This worked well for that.
