Nice and portable. Not as fast as SSD, but it’s great price for the size and for travel

Bought this for a client handoff. She loves it! It’s not ideal for working on video, but it is great for a backup.

Fast and stable drive. Can use it for backup or even as a startup drive. LaCie got a bad rap years ago, but their new drives are solid. Comes with a cable for USB-C and USB 3.0

it’s fast, easy to use and affordable

It’s seems a little slow when transferring files sometimes. But it is a disk drive after all. I’m only using it to store old files I normally don’t look at or use often. I’d probably not use this hard drive to edit video projects, I’d use it mainly for storage only. SSD drives are faster and better for editing projects. Overall, the hard drive does it’s job with no problems. It looks and feels high quality and rugged. I’m content with this purchase and would recommend.

I bought this drive and failed while under warranty. Amazon referred me to the manufacturer. They sent some software to recover the files but kept giving conflicting information on how to proceed. When they realised I didn’t have enough room to recover the files they sent a replacement. This took about two weeks to decide because of the slow communication. The drive is now stuck in customs because they did not provide the proper paperwork to notify customs it was a replacement and should not be re-taxed (this has been confirmed by customs). This much has taken so long the 30 day license for the software to recover the files has expired. The support team seems disorganised making the same mistakes over and over which I have to correct repeatedly. Judging by all the reviews on Amazon these drives are not reliable and are apparently made by Seagate so customers would be better off looking for something by a better manufacturer.

Won’t connect to iPad or Android phone where I had my photos. Appears to be only for computers. I really have no uses fir it now

I found this product to work pretty well with my MacBook. I’m able to have well enough storage, and the drive stays tight and plugged in, which is an issue I’ve had with other drives in the past.

Very, very rarely have we had issues with these drives. Super dependable and tough!

It will not allow me to download images to it. I have many other LaCie portable hard drives with no problem.

It’s lighter and smaller than I thought and I think it’s a perfect storage for my photography work.

Ubiquitous orange drives still deliver, but slowly. Appreciate it includes USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables, but the transfer speeds are sluggish compared to everything else (as expected from a spinning disk). Great for incremental transfers, less ideal for large file transfers.

Sturdy and reliable. My first LaCie is still working perfectly after 8 years, so I upgraded to bigger hard drive and USB-C.

I’ve been using a couple of these for travel and remote video editing (iMac and and new M1 MacBook Pro), and they have worked flawlessly. Highly recommended.

I previously had a sandisk hard drive and I always had issues with the cord disconnecting in the middle of my editing sessions. But I have no issues with my LaCie!
