Recently purchased the Sony ZV-E10 and needed somewhere to store all the excellent pictures and 4K videos. This is working great so far.

This is my third LaCie rugged drive and is still a solid performer. Also like the ability to plug it into USB 3.0 and USB-C ports as I don’t need a dongle.

Don’t purchase this. It stopped working within 3 months of purchasing it. I’m really surprised, because I’ve used LaCie for many years not and this is not the quality I’m use to. Very disappointed.

I previously had a sandisk hard drive and I always had issues with the cord disconnecting in the middle of my editing sessions. But I have no issues with my LaCie!

This is the second LaCie Rugged Hard Drive I’ve purchased and have nothing but great things to say about them.

You can get most other 1TB hard drives for under $85 but you wont be able to throw it at a concrete wall like this one.

I have struggled with failed drives in the past. This holds up well. I have also had issues where a drive will not take footage from my Sony a7siii, no problems here.

I love these , they last for a long time. They are reasonably priced for travel and back up . The only thing I don’t like is I don’t think They can be daisy chained.

Bought this for a client handoff. She loves it! It’s not ideal for working on video, but it is great for a backup.

This thing is exactly as advertised. Speed is the same as quoted in the specs. USB C is great for future proofing. When I originally plugged it in, it’s capacity read 430mb…. Had to contact LaCie support, but we sorted it out after determining that it had created a partition for itself. Strange, but it now works great.

Transfer speeds are a little slow but it’s a good drive.

Can’t wait for them to come out with a smaller 8TB/10TB/16TB!

This does the job and does it well. It’s helpful that it connects via lightning port and USB, I can go back and forth between my computers with ease.

I’m so happy I purchased it. I recently upgraded my MacBook Pro as well as my iMac . It was very essential that I upgraded my external hard drive to be compatible with the USB-C type connections. The difference in upload and download speeds are unmatched. It makes the transferring of files a breeze. Definitely recommend this brand. The durable built and feel of the hard drive puts me at ease knowing that all my data will be safe and secure. 10/10!

I bought this drive and failed while under warranty. Amazon referred me to the manufacturer. They sent some software to recover the files but kept giving conflicting information on how to proceed. When they realised I didn’t have enough room to recover the files they sent a replacement. This took about two weeks to decide because of the slow communication. The drive is now stuck in customs because they did not provide the proper paperwork to notify customs it was a replacement and should not be re-taxed (this has been confirmed by customs). This much has taken so long the 30 day license for the software to recover the files has expired. The support team seems disorganised making the same mistakes over and over which I have to correct repeatedly. Judging by all the reviews on Amazon these drives are not reliable and are apparently made by Seagate so customers would be better off looking for something by a better manufacturer.

I normally buy Seagate External Hard drives, but I know so many photographers that swear by these! I bought two of them at the beginning of wedding season because I didn’t want to be caught up in editing mid-wedding season and run out of space on my current external hard drives. Well, here we are mid August and I just opened one, formatted it for my computer OS, and began backing up files. Almost immediately I started experiencing problems. The hard drive kept disconnecting, then re-connecting, then disconnecting again without me touching anything or even moving the desk. As some one who works in Lightroom directly off of my external hard drives, it wouldn’t even stay connected long enough to create a new Lightroom catalog for it. Needless to say it is impossible to work off of. Sadly in an attempt to be prepared, I ordered so long ago that both drives are no longer refundable. I just sticking to what works next time. I have never had a problem with Seagate drives and will be working off of them from here on out.

This is a quality hard drive for sure. I have no complaints. I use it to backup projects from my work SSD. Going to purchase two more soon. Can’t afford a NAS at the moment. So portable drives it is.
