I have this 2TB Lacie hard drive and their 4TB one, and I haven’t experienced any issues. It runs well when I’m using Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom. The rugged bumper feature is a necessity as well, so overall it’s good quality.

USB C connection and speed allow this to be paired with a BlackMagic 4K and record in 5 to 1 in BM Raw!

The build quality is quite impressive and the ones I have haven’t failed yet. However when you are choose Lacie products often you have to sacrifice the drive performance to get that slightly more durable build quality. Without the external casing you can often get equal performance at a much much lower cost. However, safety storage is my first priority. It has been the industry standard for quite some years. I keep at least one to two backups all using the Lacie 5tb drives.

I’ve had a LaCie rugged in the past that worked wonderfully but I needed more space. This drive seemed to work OK at first even with a touchy cord, but after a few months, it’s making a clicking noise constantly and keeps unmounting. I even bought a new cord. I’m pretty disappointed. Not sure what to do since I can’t return it now.

I actually dropped this taking it out of the box! The rubber cage is quite thick and bouncy. Never had any problems with it and use it as my backup for my Macbook Pro 16

I love LaCie products, they have always been reliable and are the ones I go to for all of my back up drives! This one I used to shuttle all of my info from my Mac over to my new PC and it worked beautifully.

Sturdy and reliable. My first LaCie is still working perfectly after 8 years, so I upgraded to bigger hard drive and USB-C.

I love LaCie drives and the drive itself is great. Fast and easy to use. My only issue is the USB cord. As with some prior drives, the connection is not as tight as I would like. I’m not getting that flicker connection effect as I’ve had in the past, but it’s bothering me.

I love this Hard Drive as a professional wedding photographer! It is so reliable, safe, and fast to store all my clients’ photos. I already own three of these and plan to continue to only buy this kind of Hard Drive. Highly recommend!!

I already own one of these and just bought a second. One of the most cost effective options, and the bumper makes me less nervous to drop it than I am my other drives.

Used it for Time Machine on my old MacPro, worked like a charm!
