I love LaCie products, they have always been reliable and are the ones I go to for all of my back up drives! This one I used to shuttle all of my info from my Mac over to my new PC and it worked beautifully.

I bought this for abundance storage, durability and to copy a failing WD external HDD I had for backup. A lot of You Tube reviews raved of its durability and longevity, so I spent the extra money for that reason. pro: protective cover is nice, compact, portable and Lacie has good reputation. Feels of good quality. con: copying a 3.0 USB connected WD HDD, was a lot slower than specs advertised. Once it was done access was easy. Final Thought: I want be accessing it much, so speed is not important to me. If you need speed, then SSD is the only way to go. I like it and it’s pertty!

My first copy but seems like it won’t be the last one. Transferring speed is really good. Using primarily while on the move. Will consider buying again soon.

Lacie drives always the goto. An affordable and high functioning and tough drive. A good drive if you’re on the move and don’t have a set workplace.

Makes a great back-up drive for a 1TB MAC Book Pro or Air. The isolation around the plug at the end of the cable is just slightly too large to fit easily through the orange protective cover of the drive . I just engaged the square hole by a very small amount and it solved the problem and now achieves a reliable connection.

The LaCie Rugged hard drives are very reliable and tough. This is my sixth one. Over many years I’ve never had one fail. They are useful for data backups which don’t require fast transfer speeds. If you need a faster drive, ‘consider the LaCie Rugged SSD Pro models.

This is an excellent HD – compact and fact.

This thing is exactly as advertised. Speed is the same as quoted in the specs. USB C is great for future proofing. When I originally plugged it in, it’s capacity read 430mb…. Had to contact LaCie support, but we sorted it out after determining that it had created a partition for itself. Strange, but it now works great.

Had to re-format the disc because Macbook Pro (2019) wouldn’t write to it out of the box. Once I did that it backed up my machine fine. Pros: rugged and light Cons: Mac users will need to re-format the thing using Disk Utility to use it.

Don’t purchase this. It stopped working within 3 months of purchasing it. I’m really surprised, because I’ve used LaCie for many years not and this is not the quality I’m use to. Very disappointed.

Slim, sturdy, reliable. I’m really happy with it so far.
