To help protect your data, this SSD is resistant against drops from up to 6.5′. To help ensure compatability across a wide range of devices, this bus-powered SSD is compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems, and a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C to Type-C cable is included so you’ll be able to get started right out of the box. This cable also allows compatibility with Thunderbolt 3 systems, and to help ensure compatibility with legacy systems, a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C to Type-A cable is included.
To further protect your data, LaCie covers this drive with not only a limited 3-year warranty, but also a one-time rescue plan that is good for three years. If something goes wrong, LaCie will replace the product and run one in-lab data recovery service at no extra cost. Also included is a one-month membership to Adobe’s Create Cloud All Apps plan, which provides access to Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and more.

This LaCie portable external SSD hard drive is fast and very light, making it very convenient for quick transfers of large data files on a device that will fit in one’s pocket without creating a sense of bulk. The only unappealing trait is the USB-C cable which is stiff and retains the bends created by LaCie when packaging the product for sale.

I thought it was my MacBook Pro giving me issues then I switched to a somewhat faster drive and it helped speed up video editing in 4k… but I researched best drives for 4k video editing and this came up. I just started using it this week and WOW the import time was crazy fast and then the lagging in my MacBook has ceased. I’m writing this prematurely as I haven’t finished my project yet but wow – so relieved I might have all problems solved and found the solution to my lagging editing situation. I wish they had it in 4TB Bc some of my projects are large … I got the 2TB

A sleek portabke SSD drive with super fast data transfer to/from PC or laptop. 1Tb makes also for plenty of room for photis, videos. The only reason i didn’t give a 5 star rating is that it took some tweaking to insert properly the provided connecting cable.
