Designed for students, travelers, photographers, and videographers, the 5TB Rugged Mini USB 3.0 External Hard Drive from LaCie features shock, drop, and pressure resistance, as well as a rubber sleeve for added protection. It can also withstand up to one ton of crush resistance, including being driven over by a car. Aside from its tough exterior, the Rugged Mini provides a storage capacity of 5TB and data transfers of up to 130 MB/s. It connects to your host Windows or Mac system using its USB 3.0 interface and includes both USB Type-C and USB Type-A cables.

This is a few nice external drive. It has the worst installation directions for older desktops that have 2.0 USB ports. It took me hours to sift through google searches only to find out the I needed to change the drive name.

I needed a place to put my ever-expanding iTunes library because it was taking up too much space on my hard drive, so I exported it to this handy little guy. I say ‘handy’ because the drive is small, so it can slip into a purse easily, and has only one cable, so it plugs straight into your computer. All my other external drives require extra power cables that plug into a wall socket, so they’re much more of a hassle. I haven’t owned it more than a month, so we’ll see how it holds up (reliability-wise) in the long term, but for what I’m using it for I think it’s the perfect little transportable storage unit. Fun orange rubber case too.

But BnH is as reliable as these drives and cost competitive. Had issue with FedEx, B and H delivered great customer service as usual.
