My old grinder croaked. I was looking for a decent grinder with metal gears that we will use mainly to grind pork for Polish, and Italian sausage. This grinder is a lot faster than my old one and had no problem grinding four pork butts and about five pounds of chicken. Its a sturdy design and more rugged than similarly priced grinders i looked at Cabela’s.The tradeoff (also noted by other reviewers) is that it is LOUD. So loud my wife and I had to use hearing plugs. The other complaint is that it is provided with a small and large cutter plates. No medium sized one which is my prefered size for sausage. We ended up using the large plate for our sausage day. Not bad though. All in all we are happy with it.

I have not had my grinder for very long but I was able to grind over 70 lbs of beef easily. I was quite impressed considering the price. As of now I would recommend it. I will be doing 2 pigs soon and hope to have just as good of luck!

The grinder works fine. It’s strong and fast. No complained. If only it’s was not so noisy. The noise level is a dangerous one. It’s impossible to use the grinder without protecting your ears.

Ground 50lbs of deer. Ran it through the larger plate and then the finer one. Worked excellent and chowed right through it. Bought this over other brands because the actual gears are metal rather than plastic. Hoping this will last for years to come and seems like it should. Easy to use.
