Great for raw beef cuts for making jerky (very uniform cuts. A 3 lb bot round takes less than 60 seconds to slice). All metal assembly is very nice, and easy to clean too!! Only down side is that it doesn’t cut as well for thin “cold cut” style for meat, prosciutto, cheese, etc. I could just need more practice however 🙂 very good quality for residential use. Any better would cost hundreds for commercial grade.

Of course this thing rocks. It cut cheese well but cut a turkey breast for sandwiches perfectly. It is definitely a great purchase. Just watch for how much you use it in one setting. It gets hot quick and let the blade do the work don’t force it

This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to make beef jerkey. I put the beef in the freezer for about 2 hours to firm it up. I like my jerky thin. I had no problem slicing the beef. Also it was a pretty easy clean up.
