This stainless steel electric grinder is the perfect size to grind a few deer a year. The Big Bite technology allows the auger to take an extra big bite of meat and then move it into the grinder head quicker than other grinders. Grinds approximately 7 lbs. per minute.
- Improved horsepower from 0.35 in. the previous model to 0.5 in. for a more powerful grind
- Rifled head for an easier second grind and stuffing without the stomper
- Offset, larger diameter throat and big bite auger technology for faster grinding
- Stainless steel head, auger, meat pan, plates, and knife
- All stainless steel motor housing
- Steel gears are now quieter
- Front storage drawer to conveniently store plates, knives and tubes

This machine is a beast – in a good way! Just the head alone weighs 4 lbs. so it’s beyond sturdy. I won’t be grinding large quantities, but still look forward to using this for all my grinding needs – not just meat. I expect this will come in handy when I break out the major Holiday baking recipes – nuts, dates, etc. And I also look forward to buying inexpensive cuts of meat and grinding them myself to save even more.

Powerful grinder, only downside is that it only comes with 2 grinding plates, very large and very small.

Long-time elk hunter here, and for my 20 years of hunting, my husband and I always used the heavy hand grinder my dear Mom gave me when I got my first animal (a pronghorn). I’ve resisted getting an electric grinder because I like to leave lots of connective tissue in my ground (I think it helps adhesion for burgers and sausage), and most of my friends with electric grinders burned them out within less than 5 years. So the fact that this grinder has a 5-year warranty speaks volumes compared to cheaper, less durable or powerful grinders. So far it works really well – even with connective tissue – and should last a long time, as long as I follow two cardinal rules: cut pieces to ~2” thick for feeding, and don’t get too aggressive with the pusher. I only use the pusher to get close to the blades but I do not actually force the meat through. The grinder comes with cutting plates for 3 sizes of grind. I typically use the coarsest one first and then re-grind anything that will become burger or sausage using a finer plate. (Note that LEM makes an excellent cylinder-style sausage stuffer, and it is superior to using the grinder to stuff casings – well worth having a separate dedicated tool.) I’m hopeful that this grinder will outlast all the cheaper ones – so far, so good! (I rated 5 stars overall but only 3 for energy efficiency because my hand grinder is still the most efficient – but not nearly as time-efficient!)

Love it. Made a 10 lb batch of sausage last week for the first time ever. Powerful motor fast & easy to operate. Big bite technology is the way to go.

I did a double grind and it went through the deer meat like it was butter. I used several and this one was the best.

very nice piece of equipment; we are now in the process of grinding deer meat and pork butts for summer sausage–this took the place of my wife’s kitchen aid mixer grinder attachment–(was way to slow and tedious)—this grinder makes short of those pork butts used for summer sausage. We love this investment to our kitchen supplies

works great! we are so glad we went with this grinder especially over a hand crank. it is well worth the money if you are going to be processing a lot of meat.

This grinder was easy to assemble and easy to take apart and clean. But most importantly fast and efficient.

Ground 20 pounds deer meat without having to clean off the blade. Easy clean up with hot soapy water.
