The ThinkPad UltraSlim USB DVD Burner from Lenovo is a small form factor external portable DVD and CD recordable drive that can be attached to a notebook with a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port. It conforms with standard specifications for the following types of media CD-R, CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-R (dual-layer recording), DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+R(dual-layer recording), and DVD+RW. It offers a 0.75MB memory buffer underrun protection for reliable CD and DVD media recording. The burner includes PowerDVD for capturing, editing, and creating your own videos and PowerDVD software for playback DVD videos.

Good size packs well with everything downloadable you don’t always need a dvd drive but when you this is a great one to have

The software install is quick and very easy to do so i was able to begin using the burner within minutes of opening. Laptops don’t come with CD drives anymore but they are still very much needed. Now I can play my old CD rom games of old and burn data on CDs that i need versus using USB devices that are so easy to lose.
