Communicate with colleagues, clients, and friends with the ThinkVision T22v-20 21.5″ 16:9 VoIP IPS Monitor, which is designed to streamline video conferencing with its integrated 1080p webcam, microphone, and 3W stereo speaker system. The angle-adjustable infrared webcam supports Windows Hello facial recognition, which allows you to log in with a smile. It also has a privacy shutter that slides shut when the camera isn’t in use. The dual microphone array helps to ensure that you’re heard during conversations.
The monitor itself includes a thin-bezel design with an In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel that supports a 1920 x 1080 FHD resolution at 60 Hz. It supports 16.7 million colors with a 250 cd/m² brightness, 1000:1 static contrast ratio, and a 6 ms response time (4 ms in overdrive mode). Computers connect through the HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2, and VGA inputs. There is also an integrated USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub with two Type-A ports that allow you to quickly connect peripherals such as flash drives. Its compact, square base has integrated cable management to help reduce desktop clutter. In addition to being able to rotate the screen 90° to view documents in portrait mode, you can adjust the screen’s height, tilt, and swivel to optimize comfort. Alternatively, you can use the 100 x 100mm VESA mounting holes to mount the monitor onto a wall or swivel arm. The ThinkVision T22v-20 has 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, allowing you to see the screen from almost any position.

The monitor itself is fine. The integrated Webcam (which was a key reason for purchasing this monitor vs a thousand others), however, is very poor. Low resolution, very poor colour, and no controls whatsoever (no zoom or pan, no image adjustments at all, just simple mechanical up/down pointing). Maybe some of this could be fixed in a driver upgrade, but for now it’s a poor solution if the integrated webcam is a key feature for you.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I started purchasing this model of Lenovo monitor about 4 years ago. I think we have 8 or 10 at this point. It has all of the features that I insist on for our office: height adjustable, tilt and swivel, convenient size for having dual monitors on the desk top, display port outlet, and the built-in camera and microphone. I have looked high and low, and this is one of the only monitors that ticks all of these boxes. Moreover, viewing is clear and easy on the eyes. This is a wonderful and affordable option for our office needs.

I bought one of these monitors for remote learning/work. The size is great, the picture is sharp, and I love the features. This monitor checked all the boxes for me. It has a Display Port in, two USB passthrough ports, built-in stereo speakers, a built-in 1080p IRRGB webcam, dual microphone array, face-tracking, a privacy shutter, and the ability to control it with a mouse via the software. This monitor also featured an excellent and sturdy stand with a wide range of motion including the ability to rotate the monitor to a vertical (portrait) orientation. It came with all of the cables needed to work and works great. It should be noted that the first one that I got seemed to have some sort of hardware or firmware issue which prevented the webcam from working. Luckily, Lenovo support was able to quickly replace the faulty unit and get me a working one.
