With NVIDIA G-Sync technology, the monitor reduces screen tearing, stuttering, and other artifacts when it is connected to compatible graphics cards through the HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.4 inputs. The Legion Y27q-20 also supports up to 1.07 billion colors, bringing rich details to games, videos, and photos. You can rotate the screen 90° in either direction to view documents in portrait mode and help save space with multi-monitor setups. After having my unit for a month, I can safely say that the quality still never fails to blow me away. It has the visually stunning color quality you’d expect from an IPS panel, without the common issues plaguing competing IPS panels. Greyish blacks, bleeding and ghosting are visually non-existent even in a darkened room on my Y27q-20. Throw in a few added bonuses such as an all metal adjustable stand, and a collapsible headset holder, and it’s very hard to justify other competing monitors with similar or arguably even higher price points.

I have two of these monitors and they are really quite wonderful! The colors are very good (10bpc) and obviously the high refresh rate is really sweet. If you are looking for a monitor that allows you to do design or video work (where color accuracy is important) and you also play games this is a really well priced best of both worlds. There were some slight discrepancies out of the box that had to be handled before I was able to fully use them, and one of the monitors has a very slightly noticeable hue difference. This is not anything damning and can be expected but I did not want to write a review without addressing my own experiences. The headphone holder is neat but may not serve everyone’s use case. Great monitor overall though. I picked it up on sale and that was probably the best deal I could get, I suggest anyone do the same, but still pretty worth at current price.

This monitor is fairly nice, the colors are good and the size is great, it’s built very sturdy and has nice features, but there’s some issues like less than optimal screen fade around the edges unless you have your head like 3 ft away and perfectly centered, and the material they used for the screen reflects a lot of light so glare is moderately to really bad in anything but near total darkness even if the light source is fairly far away and off to the side (and if you have windows in the room you better have dark curtains or play exclusively at night). Another minor gripe is the USB port supports a charge mode you can toggle on, but it’s a very slow charging port, probably 5V2A or less. For a nearly $500 monitor I don’t think it would have been terribly expensive to make it adaptive fast charging to increase the convenience. I don’t know that the fade at the edges of the screen is really a fault of design so much as just reaching the size limit a flat panel can be at this DPI. If it were curved I don’t think this would be an issue. It’s a shame to have such a nice stand with good ergonomics that you really can’t use because the edges of the screen will blur and fade if you’re not at the perfect angle. I think this monitor is a good deal though if you can get it around $350-380.

This is an excellent monitor and it was well worth the price. The colours pop much more than my last monitor and the 165 Hz framerate is quick and responsive. There is some slight light bleed at the bottom of the screen, but it is only noticeable when the screen is completely dark. For general use, watching videos, or playing video games, it is not a problem.There is also an odd humming noise coming from the back of the monitor when my computer is turned off, which I have yet to find a remedy for. Other than those (relatively minor) issues, this monitor has met all of my expectations and was well worth the money!
