Stay productive and flexible with the 14″ IdeaPad Flex 5 Multi-Touch 2-in-1 Laptop in platinum gray from Lenovo. Designed to be used as a laptop or tablet, the Flex 5 features a 1.0 GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad-core CPU and 16GB of DDR4 RAM for responsive performance. There’s also ample room for storage, thanks to a 512GB SSD. Peripherals can be attached via a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port supporting power delivery, or via two Type-A ports. Wireless accessories can also be connected using Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band 2×2 Wi-Fi 6 ensures secure and fast connections.
Rocking a 14″ 1920 x 1080 IPS-type WVA touchscreen, the Flex 5 can extend or mirror content to an additional display via the HDMI 1.4b output. The built-in display features a 360° hinge, allowing this IdeaPad to be used in tent, tablet, or laptop mode. This laptop sports a 10-point multi-gesture touchscreen and is also compatible with the Lenovo digital pen, available separately. A card reader supporting MMC, SD, SDHC, and SDXC formats also allows for easy media retrieval. For video conferencing and collaborating over video, the Flex 5 uses an HD webcam and dual-array microphones. Security measures include a webcam privacy shutter and touch-style fingerprint reader, as well as power-on and HDD passwords. With its 52.5Wh battery, this laptop can last for up to 10 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 14″ IdeaPad Flex 5 Multi-Touch 2-in-1 Laptop runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

THIS is what I was looking for. I was looking for a solid computer option for my 10 year old daughter. She needed a computer for games and school. I tried a Chromebook first, but it just had limitations that I couldn’t get past. This one (IdeaPad Flex 5 14 (Intel) 2 in 1) offers everything she needed. The slim, light weight size is great for her. The touch screen is helpful. I love that it runs Windows. The price was acceptable.

It’s a very speedy unit and it handles tasks very well. I wish the keyboard had deeper keythrow, but it is acceptable and I am an old professional television writer who dates back long before computers. I’ve bought a cherry blue keyboard to use with this unit and a large monitor. The flex capability is definitely a big plus. I regularly fold it up and have a bite to eat where the body usually lies. Lenovo’s OEM system app is quite good. OK, so here’s the big problem. As you can see in the photo, I rest my palm left of the track pad. I only rest the left pad of my palm. Just as you see. I do a great deal of email writing, and I write long emails. I also do long posts in my Facebook Group most days. This in addition to Word, etc. But the problem keeps happening in Gmail and Facebook. I will be writing, and I will have quite a few words written, and suddenly something will happen…it has to do with that left hand left pad of my palm…it seems that it accidentally contacts one of the keys near it, line Ctrl, Fn, Windows. And ZAP, everything I have written will simply disappear, all the work goes to nothing. Sometimes it also send what I have partially written in Gmail. At this point I have not hooked in the gaming keyboard, which I imagine will solve this, but I warn buyers to be careful of whatever is happening with me.

This is a great overall budget laptop for university students. Coming from an entire Apple ecosystem, this laptop runs great and I love the touchscreen. The fan isn’t too loud, and the laptop is able to support daily use and moderate work/student software with no issues at all.
