Overall the IdeaPad 5 (15″ Intel) laptop is good. The fan has a little noise sometimes for a very short time. It comes with only 2 USB ports compare to my old Acer laptop has 3. No Ethernet port in this Lenovo laptop but understandable.

Everything works well. Only thing that seems to be out of order is that sometimes the laptop will not come out of sleep mode. I have to let it die in order to restart it. Other than that, I’m happy with it.

seems like a winner, she thinks her iPad has a better screen though .

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Arrived 2 days earlier than expected – everything came correct as per order. Build quality feels good, screen is responsive and bright as I expected. Minor issue was the touchpad did not work out of the box – this was fixed after the bios update.

The Lenovo Idea Pad is a great computer with lots of easy to use features. I am retired and have not had a laptop for a little while. I am still learning about my purchase. My son has helped me navigate through all the features. One problem I have is my old files that are on word and other Microsoft programs will open only if I check Microsoft agreements. ? Also, I love the color and ease of use. I am still learning about the features. I would definitely purchase this product again and recommend to family and friends.

I absolutely do not like the fact I cannot use and save to Word Pad.

Works great! It was easy to set up for a non-techie. The screen could be a little brighter (even at maximum), but not a big deal. It’s been pretty fast. I bought it to use for standard MS Office and internet surfing. Very happy with the purchase. Good value for the money,

My new Lenovo laptop driven by a 512GB SSD is really fast on booting up and starting programs. It certainly is a big step up from old HP. Really couldn’t ask for more

I was very excited about my new Lenovo 5 ideapad. I brought it home and immediately started take it out to begin setup. I was about 90% done when all of the sudden the screen started blacking out. It was flickering just a little at first, then it became intense. I am a student, and it made it near impossible to do homework. I researched it and found out that it is somewhat common in Lenovo’s to have a flickering screen. I chatted with technical support who just told me to update the computer which I did and it availed to nothing. I have since returned the laptop, nervous to make the same purchase.
