Take performance on the go with the graphite gray 15.6″ IdeaPad 5 Laptop from Lenovo. Designed for work or play, the IdeaPad 5 sports a 1 GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM for punchy processing. An ample 512GB SSD can accommodate user files, including a video or photo library. Need more storage? This laptop also features an empty 2.5″ SATA III bay that can accommodate an HDD or SSD for even more storage space. Wired peripherals can be connected to two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports or a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting power delivery. Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is also present, allowing users to connect wireless peripherals as well. And, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, in addition to 2×2 dual-band support, users can take advantage of faster internet speeds and stronger connections compared to older Wi-Fi 5.
Employing a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 TN display with a 135° hinge, the IdeaPad 5 features integrated Intel UHD Graphics and can extend or mirror content to additional displays via the USB Type-C or HDMI 1.4b ports. Media can be accessed via a 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. And, with a 1MP HD webcam, dual-array microphone, and integrated speaker system, users can easily videoconference at home or out and about. When the webcam is not in use, you can even block the lens with a privacy shutter, ensuring privacy. Further safety measures include power-on, HDD, and supervisor passwords, as well as a dedicated TPM chip and touch-style fingerprint reader. In addition to a touchpad, the user interface includes a backlit keyboard with a number pad. This laptop features an integrated battery that can last for up 12 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 15.6" IdeaPad 5 runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

A great laptop. However, I was so tuned into the requirements when I was looking for a laptop, that I did not notice the keyboard was shifted to the left to allow space for a key pad. Will take time to get used to, but love the huge screen and everything else.

I really like this laptop! The size is perfect for me. Big enough for home use and still small enough to take somewhere. I like the back-lit keyboard and it’s easy to type on the keyboard. To improve upon it, I think there should be at least 1 more port and a disk player.

Decent Machine for the Price. I am an Apple Fan Geek, but my budget will not allow me to purchase one at this moment. I needed something that could boost my ability to stream to Zoom and other streaming platforms. The price was decent and the feature are beneficial. I also know that when Windows will no longer support this machine that I can install Linux on here.

The Lenovo laptop is the best I ever had, totally I own 4 Lenovo laptops now, 2 HPs and 1 Dell currently. I use them to do work and also investment that’s why I need that many screens. The keyboard is light to touch but very accurate never had over sensitive typing issue. The backlit keys are awesome to use during night time when I do my research. CPU and GPU on board are working lightning fast and seamlessly. SSD hard drive makes this computer run so fast every click is like a blink of an eye. Sound quality from speakers are top notch since the new design has put them facing upward so the sound is not muffled by table surfaces or fabrics of my pants if they were designed to face downward. The laptop is so light in weight, the touch sensor to sign in is such a plus, makes life so much easier because I don’t need to type in lengthy password or pin numbers any more. I have used Lenovo, HP and Dell, Lenovo so far has given me the best reliability and consistent performance than HP and Dell in my possession for the past two decades. That’s why I have bought 4 Lenovo recently for myself and children online home school usage. Really have nothing bad to say about this computer. Great job, Lenovo team for making your products better and better in every generation of new products!
