An ample 512GB SSD can accommodate user files, including a video or photo library. Need more storage? This laptop also features an empty 2.5″ SATA III bay that can accommodate an HDD or SSD for even more storage space. Wired peripherals can be connected to two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports or a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting power delivery. Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is also present, allowing users to connect wireless peripherals as well. And, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, in addition to 2×2 dual-band support, users can take advantage of faster internet speeds and stronger connections compared to older Wi-Fi 5.
Employing a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 TN display with a 135° hinge, the IdeaPad 5 features integrated Intel UHD Graphics and can extend or mirror content to additional displays via the USB Type-C or HDMI 1.4b ports. And, with a 1MP HD webcam, dual-array microphone, and integrated speaker system, users can easily videoconference at home or out and about. When the webcam is not in use, you can even block the lens with a privacy shutter, ensuring privacy. Further safety measures include power-on, HDD, and supervisor passwords, as well as a dedicated TPM chip and touch-style fingerprint reader. In addition to a touchpad, the user interface includes a backlit keyboard with a number pad. This laptop features an integrated battery that can last for up 12 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 15.6" IdeaPad 5 runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

Slim design with fantastic screen image quality. Did NOT like having to buy external cd rom drive to install programs previously purchased on disc. I didn’t like spending over an hour turning off and uninstalling apps that I didn’t want. Battery life is much better. Overall, after using it for a few weeks, I am getting used to it but prefer my old “dinosaur” lenovo laptop.

I am no expert when it comes to laptops, but has everything I need as far as memory, speed and space. From trading and watching the markets in real time, to previewing a movie with my daughter, have no issues what so ever. I felt I got more for the money than anything else available. Not only that, it has a tough look to it which I like. May just purchase another one for the family.

I can’t really say anything about the unit because I’m trying to find out how to migrate my data from my current computer. That and I have a Microsoft office package and I’m trying to find out if I can migrate it or if I have to buy a new package for $250 a significant addition to the cost of the Lenovo. Migration to a new unit is a significant issue and barrier to upgrading a computer

This is my first laptop purchase. I was a little nervous about it, since I’m not accustom to using a laptop. It was a great choice! I am loving it!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Good laptop, but the touchpad is really stiff. Good thing it has a touchscreen.

Got my laptop a couple weeks ago, it has been pretty awesome. I do my school work on it, play Sims, and other stuff. The internet is fast, i love the back lit keyboard and you barely hear the fan. I’m happy with my laptop so far.

i love the matte/anti-glare screen, so much easier to use in the sun. The weight and dimensions allow me to carry this laptop everywhere with a minimum of effort. Slim and light weight. This is my 3rd Lenovo and I will continue to buy Lenovo Idea Pads with Intel inside.

Purchased this laptop after my old Mac died. I am enjoying the large screen and other features. Easy to set up and the slim line and light weight make this easy to throw in my bag and go!

I love the set up of the Lenovo. It is so easy to use and it is overall a perfect computer for a college student. It has plenty of storage and charges so fast.

Great laptop for the price. We recently bought the X1 Extreme and don’t see a noticeable difference between the two. Great graphic, fast, light weight.

Boots up in under 15 seconds. Programs load up quick with the SSD card. 4gb dedicates ram on the motherboard and comes with an upgrade able 8gb for a total of 12, upgradeable for a total of 20gb. The only flaw are the finger prints it leaves on the outside surface of the monitor, it’s like a stainless appliance.

Works great, set-up was super easy. Got one for my son for high school and my wife for personal use – both have been very happy so far.

It gets the job done! Lightweight, fast, and easy to use – this does not disappoint. The surface and keyboard has a protective coating that has a great touch. I actually bought three of these – one for me and one for each of my kids to facilitate online learning. No complaints so far!

I recently bought a Lenovo Ideapad. So far, it’s working great. The display is nice, the sound is good. The only drawback for me is I wish it didn’t have to be charged so often. Other than that, it has met my expectations.
