Take performance on the go with the graphite gray 15.6″ IdeaPad 5 Laptop from Lenovo. Designed for work or play, the IdeaPad 5 sports a 1 GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM for punchy processing. An ample 512GB SSD can accommodate user files, including a video or photo library. Need more storage? This laptop also features an empty 2.5″ SATA III bay that can accommodate an HDD or SSD for even more storage space. Wired peripherals can be connected to two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports or a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting power delivery. Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is also present, allowing users to connect wireless peripherals as well. And, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, in addition to 2×2 dual-band support, users can take advantage of faster internet speeds and stronger connections compared to older Wi-Fi 5.
Employing a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 TN display with a 135° hinge, the IdeaPad 5 features integrated Intel UHD Graphics and can extend or mirror content to additional displays via the USB Type-C or HDMI 1.4b ports. Media can be accessed via a 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. And, with a 1MP HD webcam, dual-array microphone, and integrated speaker system, users can easily videoconference at home or out and about. When the webcam is not in use, you can even block the lens with a privacy shutter, ensuring privacy. Further safety measures include power-on, HDD, and supervisor passwords, as well as a dedicated TPM chip and touch-style fingerprint reader. In addition to a touchpad, the user interface includes a backlit keyboard with a number pad. This laptop features an integrated battery that can last for up 12 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 15.6" IdeaPad 5 runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

It is easy to use and reliable. I am currently using it for my online classes at UHV and it does not disappoint. So far I have had no problems with it other than the battery life is short but it makes up for it in everything else it has to offer.

Surprised, at how awesome it is. I had another laptop from a different maker for two months that started having fan noise and other issues. I took it back and bought this for an extra 100. Was absolutely worth it. A beautiful machine and the tweaks that Lenovo does make it stupendous.

I recently purchased this laptop when my classes went online and I’m so happy I did! It is a speedy machine, it turns on very fast and opens programs without any hesitation. I’ve even been able to play the sims 3 and had no crashes or lag even after playing for more than an hour. This is a perfect laptop for students!

I purchased the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 to replace another laptop that I had that was falling apart. The specs indicate that this one had 16 gig RAM, backlight, and has the best capacity so it would be able to handle work and other activities, essentially to effectively multitask. So far, this laptop is living up to the standards and working properly. I use it for work and that includes having to up several pages all at once and then opening up multiple documents. It is perfect for what I needed. I even posted this on my paralegal blog for other paralegals that might need tips on buying a new computer as most of us are working from home and only go for the best technology that can support our work. Pros: I love this computer. It’s exactly what I needed (except for the touch screen part, which I’m sure could have been possible if I had spent a little more, but can live without it.) Con: Be gentle with the keyboard. No need to be heavy-handed on the keys.

Bought for just under $900 and don’t regret a cent of it! 16GB of RAM, an SSD (don’t know the memory off the top of my head), and iris plus graphics. Runs games at medium settings and runs all the programs I need for my MAE major, things I was worried about like Solidworks.

A great laptop for basic use. Comes with Windows (which I’m not a fan of) but is an attractive machine – light, thin, fast and not expensive. The only thing I miss is the built-in disk drive, but they’re not made like that anymore. An external drive will solve that issue, but good luck finding one that’s comparable with Windows 10. Over all, a great product.
