Take performance on the go with the graphite gray 15.6″ IdeaPad 5 Laptop from Lenovo. Designed for work or play, the IdeaPad 5 sports a 1 GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM for punchy processing. An ample 512GB SSD can accommodate user files, including a video or photo library. Need more storage? This laptop also features an empty 2.5″ SATA III bay that can accommodate an HDD or SSD for even more storage space. Wired peripherals can be connected to two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports or a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting power delivery. Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is also present, allowing users to connect wireless peripherals as well. And, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, in addition to 2×2 dual-band support, users can take advantage of faster internet speeds and stronger connections compared to older Wi-Fi 5.
Employing a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 TN display with a 135° hinge, the IdeaPad 5 features integrated Intel UHD Graphics and can extend or mirror content to additional displays via the USB Type-C or HDMI 1.4b ports. Media can be accessed via a 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. And, with a 1MP HD webcam, dual-array microphone, and integrated speaker system, users can easily videoconference at home or out and about. When the webcam is not in use, you can even block the lens with a privacy shutter, ensuring privacy. Further safety measures include power-on, HDD, and supervisor passwords, as well as a dedicated TPM chip and touch-style fingerprint reader. In addition to a touchpad, the user interface includes a backlit keyboard with a number pad. This laptop features an integrated battery that can last for up 12 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 15.6" IdeaPad 5 runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

It is a good computer- exactly what I needed but there was an issue with one of the keys. (Lenovo is addressing this) I wish I did not have to go through that. Last year I got a Lenovo for my wife and it is excellent.

The webcam is very clear and volume is great for my zoom calls. The screen is nice and big for watching lectures or movies. The only thing I can’t figure out is what size of case or glove case to get for it. The length of it is a bit smaller than your average computer.

Great little laptop, works well for light activity and… tolerates things like Zoom. I do really, actively dislike the design of the case (not the keyboard but the surface the keys are set into)–it’s a flat grey that clashes with the very nice, brushed aluminum outside, and it’s an odd rough texture that’s horrible to feel. It’s been almost a month and I’m not over it; if there was another color available I would have bought that instead but there was not at the store.

This laptop has been exactly what I needed and so far I have had zero issues with it. Great battery, nice screen, and good speed.It has been perfect for presenting and school functions. I haven’t tried any intensive programs as that isn’t what I got it for, but for the light and moderate level tasks I have for it, it has been great. The Full HD is a nice touch, the numpad is a bonus feature for me and data entry, and it been quite light makes it easier to travel with it.
