Take performance on the go with the graphite gray 15.6″ IdeaPad 5 Laptop from Lenovo. Designed for work or play, the IdeaPad 5 sports a 1 GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM for punchy processing. An ample 512GB SSD can accommodate user files, including a video or photo library. Need more storage? This laptop also features an empty 2.5″ SATA III bay that can accommodate an HDD or SSD for even more storage space. Wired peripherals can be connected to two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports or a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting power delivery. Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is also present, allowing users to connect wireless peripherals as well. And, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, in addition to 2×2 dual-band support, users can take advantage of faster internet speeds and stronger connections compared to older Wi-Fi 5.
Employing a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 TN display with a 135° hinge, the IdeaPad 5 features integrated Intel UHD Graphics and can extend or mirror content to additional displays via the USB Type-C or HDMI 1.4b ports. Media can be accessed via a 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. And, with a 1MP HD webcam, dual-array microphone, and integrated speaker system, users can easily videoconference at home or out and about. When the webcam is not in use, you can even block the lens with a privacy shutter, ensuring privacy. Further safety measures include power-on, HDD, and supervisor passwords, as well as a dedicated TPM chip and touch-style fingerprint reader. In addition to a touchpad, the user interface includes a backlit keyboard with a number pad. This laptop features an integrated battery that can last for up 12 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 15.6" IdeaPad 5 runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

Lightweight, works well, no issues. Love the exterior color. Matte screen is nice, but it doesn’t seem as clear as a glossy screen image. Wish this version was available with a 4k monitor, but you get what you pay for and this one has great value for the price. I can’t live without a touchscreen, which is super nice and smooth. Connects better/easier to Bluetooth than my older laptop.

Purchased the IdeaPad 5 after my previous Dell computer started dying after 6 years. Was excited at the specs and the sleek design. However, as soon as I started using it, the screen was constantly flickering. It would be flickering during meetings, while working, you name it. Too hard to focus when your screen keeps playing games. I had to return this computer within the first week of purchase. It was otherwise very fast and great (when I could see my screen). I had hoped to get a replacement but it was out of stock and I ended up purchasing a different Lenovo brand laptop.

I have a Macbook that I have been very happy with since I bought it years ago. However, laptop/computer technology has changed so much in the past decade that my Macbook needs updating. We also needed another computer at home. I have only been using this Lenovo for about a month and I haven’t had much time to explore everything on it. I like how the computer walked you through the set up process. It has taken me a while to find all of the settings in the setting menu that I want to customize so that has been a bit frustrating. Things that I expect would be turned on from setup were not such as right clicking. The touchpad is rather sensitive and even though I changed the setting, it still is not how I would like it to be. I also don’t like how the touchpad is off center. Many times when I try to click on something it right clicks which is frustrating. I like how quickly it starts up. The picture on the display seems good. The keyboard is comfortable to use and the laptop seems to work at a good speed. Without having owned it longer I cannot say much else.

Nice laptop with number pad. I’m not a fan of the cursor key setup, but that is a small thing. The only real “problem” I had was not realizing there was a sticker over the webcam. Top quality per usual. I will never purchase any laptop ever again. My school made me use their laptop so I gave my old lenovo yoga to my mother, which is stilll running perfectly after 5 years. Now that im at a new school as was able to switch baack to my gold standard in laptops which is Lenovo. I dont thin I could ever be disapointed in a lenovo product. This laptop can handle anything I throw at it. College papers, research, netflix, games and everything.
