Take performance on the go with the graphite gray 15.6″ IdeaPad 5 Laptop from Lenovo. Designed for work or play, the IdeaPad 5 sports a 1 GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM for punchy processing. An ample 512GB SSD can accommodate user files, including a video or photo library. Need more storage? This laptop also features an empty 2.5″ SATA III bay that can accommodate an HDD or SSD for even more storage space. Wired peripherals can be connected to two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports or a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting power delivery. Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is also present, allowing users to connect wireless peripherals as well. And, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, in addition to 2×2 dual-band support, users can take advantage of faster internet speeds and stronger connections compared to older Wi-Fi 5.
Employing a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 TN display with a 135° hinge, the IdeaPad 5 features integrated Intel UHD Graphics and can extend or mirror content to additional displays via the USB Type-C or HDMI 1.4b ports. Media can be accessed via a 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. And, with a 1MP HD webcam, dual-array microphone, and integrated speaker system, users can easily videoconference at home or out and about. When the webcam is not in use, you can even block the lens with a privacy shutter, ensuring privacy. Further safety measures include power-on, HDD, and supervisor passwords, as well as a dedicated TPM chip and touch-style fingerprint reader. In addition to a touchpad, the user interface includes a backlit keyboard with a number pad. This laptop features an integrated battery that can last for up 12 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 15.6" IdeaPad 5 runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

The only recommendation that I have is to make the key board backlit, as it is diffcult to operate at times, particularly in the night time. I would highly recommend this laptop.

This is the first laptop I’ve purchased in quite some time. I must say price to quality this is a great machine. The build quality feels nice, and my unit works wonderfully. This computer is snappy on startup and has a quality screen that’s clear in all scenarios I’ve presented it with so far. I enjoy the keyboard quite a bit. I have done a fair amount of typing since my purchase and it has been exquisite. I also feel the trackpad works quite well. The lack of bloatware, and ability to really control all permissions of the laptop from unboxing was very nice for me. I dont put my computer through too much strain as far as streaming and video etc etc. But I have experienced no throttling or bottleneck performance. I believe the port situation on this computer is an ideal mix of old and new. I can accommodate USB c peripherals, as well as some old music devices on older USB with no dongles. I also feel comfortable knowing I have a semi future proofed wifi receiver. The camera shutter is a great addition, and the slider makes it unnoticeable. However this does bring me to my only negative. The camera is not very high quality. I knew this when I purchased it, and it doesn’t bother me too much as I dont make video content. But in the days of more video conference meetings I wish it were a bit better. However it’s not a dealbreaker personally so it’s not detracting in my rating. Overall I’m quite satisfied with my little laptop.

This laptop is great! I only bought this laptop close to 3 weeks ago. I bought this laptop mainly to start my e-commerce small business. For the most part it is everything I needed. Great ram for faster processor, I can easily connect my phone and laptop together to be well informed in what is going on. On my downtime, I am able to stream videos with ease without any glitch. So far so good. I am hoping this laptop last me more than 5 years like my previous ASUS notebook have.
