Take performance on the go with the graphite gray 15.6″ IdeaPad 5 Laptop from Lenovo. Designed for work or play, the IdeaPad 5 sports a 1 GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM for punchy processing. An ample 512GB SSD can accommodate user files, including a video or photo library. Need more storage? This laptop also features an empty 2.5″ SATA III bay that can accommodate an HDD or SSD for even more storage space. Wired peripherals can be connected to two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports or a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting power delivery. Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is also present, allowing users to connect wireless peripherals as well. And, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, in addition to 2×2 dual-band support, users can take advantage of faster internet speeds and stronger connections compared to older Wi-Fi 5.
Employing a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 TN display with a 135° hinge, the IdeaPad 5 features integrated Intel UHD Graphics and can extend or mirror content to additional displays via the USB Type-C or HDMI 1.4b ports. Media can be accessed via a 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. And, with a 1MP HD webcam, dual-array microphone, and integrated speaker system, users can easily videoconference at home or out and about. When the webcam is not in use, you can even block the lens with a privacy shutter, ensuring privacy. Further safety measures include power-on, HDD, and supervisor passwords, as well as a dedicated TPM chip and touch-style fingerprint reader. In addition to a touchpad, the user interface includes a backlit keyboard with a number pad. This laptop features an integrated battery that can last for up 12 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 15.6" IdeaPad 5 runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

Works very well and screen is clear. However upon playing certain games i found out that the CTRL key only works once on the keyboard, even while holdong it down and i have no idea how to fix this.

So far (after one week of use) this is a great laptop. Easy to set up. Working great. Love the touch screen. Excellent speed. Sleek design. There’s only one small drawback — it’s slightly heavier than my previous Lenovo laptop, but not much.

This Computer runs super fast, the touch screen makes working way easier, and is able to run multiple softwares at once! Very idea for anyone working from home, or for students in Tech. I am very happy with my purchase!

I was worried it was to big as I wanted a smaller laptop. Turns out it is the perfect size and I love the fact that my hands don’t hit the touch pad, so it doesn’t mess up me typing. Great computer for a great price.

Decent laptop but slow processor. Even with 12gb RAM the laptop is not very fast. My old Dell was much faster

I’M really not a tech person, but the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 is a good computer for my needs. Its lightweight built well and must of all works very well, only complaint I have is Not about the computer but Lenovo, you should put more detailed instructions in the box about what the different keys are instead of trying to figure them out on line.

This is the first time purchasing a Lenovo and I I am sure not regretting it. Quick starting, smooth running, nice sized screen and good graphics. I am almost certain I am on Lenovo convert!

I did not mind the lack of an optical drive… I didn’t mind the lack of an Ethernet cable connection… These I knew before I bought the laptop. I would have rated a 5 star but for the lousy keyboard (it begs me to bang each key or else 90% of the time my ‘a’ and ‘m’ – and occasionally other keys too – are missing from my text when I type).

I needed a webcam for college and because of the covid 19 stay at home order, one couldn’t be found in time. I ended up buying a laptop. It was the very last one in store and i have been pleasantly surprised at the great quality and the ease to use it. It walked me through setup and I am enjoying it immensely.

I purchased two, the first one 07/01/2020 but had to return it because the USB-C burned out. Bought exact same unit 08/12/2020 and now have to return this one, becuase the USB-C burned out as well. I am a little frustrated with Lenovo right now…
