Take performance on the go with the graphite gray 15.6″ IdeaPad 5 Laptop from Lenovo. Designed for work or play, the IdeaPad 5 sports a 1 GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM for punchy processing. An ample 512GB SSD can accommodate user files, including a video or photo library. Need more storage? This laptop also features an empty 2.5″ SATA III bay that can accommodate an HDD or SSD for even more storage space. Wired peripherals can be connected to two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports or a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting power delivery. Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is also present, allowing users to connect wireless peripherals as well. And, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, in addition to 2×2 dual-band support, users can take advantage of faster internet speeds and stronger connections compared to older Wi-Fi 5.
Employing a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 TN display with a 135° hinge, the IdeaPad 5 features integrated Intel UHD Graphics and can extend or mirror content to additional displays via the USB Type-C or HDMI 1.4b ports. Media can be accessed via a 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. And, with a 1MP HD webcam, dual-array microphone, and integrated speaker system, users can easily videoconference at home or out and about. When the webcam is not in use, you can even block the lens with a privacy shutter, ensuring privacy. Further safety measures include power-on, HDD, and supervisor passwords, as well as a dedicated TPM chip and touch-style fingerprint reader. In addition to a touchpad, the user interface includes a backlit keyboard with a number pad. This laptop features an integrated battery that can last for up 12 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 15.6" IdeaPad 5 runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

We have only had the computer for a few weeks. The computer is smoking fast, has 16 GB of RAM and 512 SSD for a very economical price compared to any competitor. The keyboard is ergonomically designed, and I like the fingerprint security and the slide to close the webcam when needed. This is a little known secret and a newer computer that has not had a chance to get reviewed , but anticipate that this will be on the best laptop for 2020-2021 list.

LOVE it! So much quicker to boot up than I could even hope… seriously fast. I have been very happy with the processing speed… whether in an involved spreadsheet or just dealing with multiple open programs and internet browsing windows. I love that it has a card slot which just makes uploading photos a breeze for my online micro business. I highly recommend it.

I’ve been a Macbook Pro user for a long time now but I use PC at work. There are times when I would like the ability to perform PC functions on a PC rather than trying to make them work on MAC. This computer has been good for that so far. I’m also using this as a streaming device and I love the touch screen aspect. I was looking for a 2-1 and this has fit the bill nicely.

This laptop is great! Charges super fast but it also will keep its charge for HOURS. it’s not too heavy for its size and has the fingerprint scanner for extra security which is amazing. Only issue I have is that I feel like I get smudge marks on it easily on the top and below the keyboard.

Been using my laptop for almost 3 weeks. I didn’t encounter much problems. One of my concern is that the fans get a little loud. But other than that the laptop has been performing well. It’s a great budget laptop. I would say it can handle mid-gaming needs. Also it’s one of the best budget laptop this 2020. I would highly recommend buying this laptop.

The setup was confusing and I wasn’t able to access the full Microsoft license as I was automatically prompted to registry for the annual license. I wasn’t able to reach any support via phone and the trouble shooting available online wasn’t helpful. 5 stars for the laptop, 1 star for the customer service.

I am pleased with the laptop’s performance. This if faster than my Thinkpad (of course it’s a 7th generation Intel processor). Need to compare the performance after installing few software that I currently have on my Thinkpad. Lenovo vantage tools is a big help for me to manage battery life. The only concern I have is that the charger gets vey hot at times, hence the 4 stars.

Nice laptop. Like how lightweight it is. Backlit keyboard for night use. Fingerprint login feature as well as 4 digit code instead of password makes it easy, too. Purchased for my kids to do remote learning in 2020 – they carry it all around the house -it’s so light. Also like the little plastic slide/privacy cover for the camera.

Recently hired and my new position allows me to use my ‘personal’ laptop. Ummm, I think not. The Lenovo provides exactly what I needed and with the ability to incorporate my 2 separate monitors. With a USB and HDMI connectors, I was up and fully functional in a few minutes. This makes it less of a literal pain in the neck when working. I love the backlight!! Perfect having to work East Coast hours in CA. My only complaint is the number key is too close to the backspace key so I constantly turn off Num Lock.
