Designed for work or play, the IdeaPad 5 sports a 1 GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM for punchy processing. An ample 512GB SSD can accommodate user files, including a video or photo library. Need more storage? This laptop also features an empty 2.5″ SATA III bay that can accommodate an HDD or SSD for even more storage space. Wired peripherals can be connected to two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports or a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting power delivery. Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is also present, allowing users to connect wireless peripherals as well. And, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, in addition to 2×2 dual-band support, users can take advantage of faster internet speeds and stronger connections compared to older Wi-Fi 5.
Employing a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 TN display with a 135° hinge, the IdeaPad 5 features integrated Intel UHD Graphics and can extend or mirror content to additional displays via the USB Type-C or HDMI 1.4b ports. Media can be accessed via a 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. And, with a 1MP HD webcam, dual-array microphone, and integrated speaker system, users can easily videoconference at home or out and about. When the webcam is not in use, you can even block the lens with a privacy shutter, ensuring privacy. Further safety measures include power-on, HDD, and supervisor passwords, as well as a dedicated TPM chip and touch-style fingerprint reader. In addition to a touchpad, the user interface includes a backlit keyboard with a number pad. This laptop features an integrated battery that can last for up 12 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 15.6" IdeaPad 5 runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

15.6″ FHD (1920×1080) TN 250nits Anti-glare, 45% NTSC. This is the display specification of this laptop. The display spec is poor and 45% NTSC is very basic one. Once I connect the laptop with high resolution monitor I can see the difference in screen resolution, the laptop one is bit gloomy also I compare with another laptop which has MX150 NVIDIA. When I played the same HD YouTube video in both laptops I see the Lenovo’s color is bit fade compare to the other laptop

Works great! Fast and does everything I need it to do. Built in number pad is very nice feature if you use it frequently like I do. For some reason was under the impression this came with Microsoft office but appears it does not (only a 365 trial) which was a bit of a bummer

I’m liking my first couple of weeks using my Ideapad 5. The keyboard’s great and I appreciate the quick boot when I turn the computer on. Wrestling a bit putting all the MS software in the background and haven’t yet been able to get the cam working. Waiting for my next Zoom opportunity to test a bit more. If it weren’t for the cam issues this would be 5/5.
