Take performance on the go with the graphite gray 15.6″ IdeaPad 5 Laptop from Lenovo. Designed for work or play, the IdeaPad 5 sports a 1 GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM for punchy processing. An ample 512GB SSD can accommodate user files, including a video or photo library. Need more storage? This laptop also features an empty 2.5″ SATA III bay that can accommodate an HDD or SSD for even more storage space. Wired peripherals can be connected to two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports or a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting power delivery. Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is also present, allowing users to connect wireless peripherals as well. And, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, in addition to 2×2 dual-band support, users can take advantage of faster internet speeds and stronger connections compared to older Wi-Fi 5.
Employing a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 TN display with a 135° hinge, the IdeaPad 5 features integrated Intel UHD Graphics and can extend or mirror content to additional displays via the USB Type-C or HDMI 1.4b ports. Media can be accessed via a 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. And, with a 1MP HD webcam, dual-array microphone, and integrated speaker system, users can easily videoconference at home or out and about. When the webcam is not in use, you can even block the lens with a privacy shutter, ensuring privacy. Further safety measures include power-on, HDD, and supervisor passwords, as well as a dedicated TPM chip and touch-style fingerprint reader. In addition to a touchpad, the user interface includes a backlit keyboard with a number pad. This laptop features an integrated battery that can last for up 12 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 15.6" IdeaPad 5 runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

An excellent computer for the price and it comes with a touch screen. Its battery averages about 5 hours which is not too great, and the hinge is not as great as I would like it to be, but the massive screen more than compensates for its downfalls.

The computer has been great so far. The battery life suits my needs as a student. I had heard that Lenovos had bad battery life, but this computer shattered that assumption

I purchased this laptop to replace a MacBook Air (2011) that wouldn’t update and couldn’t run software which I needed for school. I needed a laptop with lots of storage and RAM and a fast processor so that I could run AutoDesk software. The laptop runs lightning fast and is a perfect fit for a busy architect student! The only con is that the display is not as brilliant as it could be, but that is a very minor problem in an otherwise perfect machine.

Really have nothing to complain about. I bought this laptop for school and I’ve been very happy with it. Really good quality for the money I spent on it and I would easily recommend this to someone looking for a computer for work/school.

I needed an economical option for my high schooler but also had to meet our processing, storage and capabilities needs. The Lenovo IdeaPad does that and more! My child has had no issues with it and connecting it was easy to do. I’d recommend moving all the bloatware that comes installed but overall a great option if your looking for something easy and manageable for your student.

Numbers keypad is perfect! Love everything about this laptop. Only negative would be I would like it a little lighter in weight, but then it probably wouldn’t have the numbers pad, so I guess it’s a trade off.

My new Ideapad is exactly what I wanted. I use it for online college courses, work, personal stuff, and creative writing. It’s fast, efficient, and can handle anything that I have thrown at it so far. I can even watch my streaming channels on the rare occasion I have free time. Multiple programs, multiple windows. Did I mention it handles everything?
