Take performance on the go with the graphite gray 15.6″ IdeaPad 5 Laptop from Lenovo. Designed for work or play, the IdeaPad 5 sports a 1 GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM for punchy processing. An ample 512GB SSD can accommodate user files, including a video or photo library. Need more storage? This laptop also features an empty 2.5″ SATA III bay that can accommodate an HDD or SSD for even more storage space. Wired peripherals can be connected to two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports or a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting power delivery. Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is also present, allowing users to connect wireless peripherals as well. And, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, in addition to 2×2 dual-band support, users can take advantage of faster internet speeds and stronger connections compared to older Wi-Fi 5.
Employing a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 TN display with a 135° hinge, the IdeaPad 5 features integrated Intel UHD Graphics and can extend or mirror content to additional displays via the USB Type-C or HDMI 1.4b ports. Media can be accessed via a 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. And, with a 1MP HD webcam, dual-array microphone, and integrated speaker system, users can easily videoconference at home or out and about. When the webcam is not in use, you can even block the lens with a privacy shutter, ensuring privacy. Further safety measures include power-on, HDD, and supervisor passwords, as well as a dedicated TPM chip and touch-style fingerprint reader. In addition to a touchpad, the user interface includes a backlit keyboard with a number pad. This laptop features an integrated battery that can last for up 12 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 15.6" IdeaPad 5 runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

I just got it a few days ago. So far so good. Sometimes the “r” key misses. Quiet, fast, crispy graphics, battery barely dented yesterday unplugged all day. Love the dark blue.

Fast processor and good keyboard but the touchscreen isn’t very sensitive and doesn’t have the same feel as my old Lenovo. I also miss the aluminum case my old Lenovo had. This one is plastic and doesn’t feel as sturdy. Overall a good PC though

This laptop is very fast and extremely efficient , I’ve only had it about 2 weeks, but it’s the best laptop I’ve evwr had the pleasure of owning, the i7 is brillant, perfect for the kight gaming i do. All the features add up to make an extremely fantastic laptop that didn’t break the bank.

The computer is amazing, more that I’d hoped in a laptop. Switched to Lenovo after several HP’s. Excellent choice

For the price this laptop is basically stacked, a laptop that has 16 gb ram, intel i7 and 512gb ssd is a steal for under $1,000. Even with the amazing specs, the build quality is exceptional considering the price. One thing that I would say is that the charging cable is shorter compared to other laptops I’ve seen but so far it hasn’t been a problem. Other than that this is the fastest computer you can get for the price and a great value.

Great laptop with the occasional software hiccup. The latter might be due to third-parties unrelated to laptop. Runs like an absolute dream with the 16gb of ram and i7 processor.

the laptop did not come with a usb-c charger. But there is a usb-c port. Was lenovo trying save some money. I would have paid a little more for a usb-c charger.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was looking for a new laptop for my graduate degree in accounting and needed something with better performance, a bigger screen and with a clean look. I’ve had this laptop for about a month now and I’m really satisfied with my choice. The battery last as long as it is advertise, which is a plus when you have 6 hours long classes and need to study after that.
