Take performance on the go with the graphite gray 15.6″ IdeaPad 5 Laptop from Lenovo. Designed for work or play, the IdeaPad 5 sports a 1 GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM for punchy processing. An ample 512GB SSD can accommodate user files, including a video or photo library. Need more storage? This laptop also features an empty 2.5″ SATA III bay that can accommodate an HDD or SSD for even more storage space. Wired peripherals can be connected to two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports or a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting power delivery. Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is also present, allowing users to connect wireless peripherals as well. And, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, in addition to 2×2 dual-band support, users can take advantage of faster internet speeds and stronger connections compared to older Wi-Fi 5.
Employing a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 TN display with a 135° hinge, the IdeaPad 5 features integrated Intel UHD Graphics and can extend or mirror content to additional displays via the USB Type-C or HDMI 1.4b ports. Media can be accessed via a 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. And, with a 1MP HD webcam, dual-array microphone, and integrated speaker system, users can easily videoconference at home or out and about. When the webcam is not in use, you can even block the lens with a privacy shutter, ensuring privacy. Further safety measures include power-on, HDD, and supervisor passwords, as well as a dedicated TPM chip and touch-style fingerprint reader. In addition to a touchpad, the user interface includes a backlit keyboard with a number pad. This laptop features an integrated battery that can last for up 12 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 15.6" IdeaPad 5 runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

I am thrilled with my decision and the computer has been able to flawlessly manage all the programs I need to run. I have had the computer about a month now and I can not rave more about it. The touchscreen sensitivity is amazing and with the brightness control on the keypad this computer can go from office workhorse to cinema screen in no time. If your looking for a computer to handle all you can throw at it then this is the one for you!

This laptop is a replacement for a 9 year old Lenovo. Liked the reliability of the first Lenovo and decided to stay with the brand. New Laptop is light. Setup was very quick. Processor is fast enough for my needs – mostly Office. But there are some negatives. The display looks washed out. Have to view from a very specific angle. Also, was excited about backlit keyboard -and it is convenient- but the spaces between the keys are very obvious. Looks like each letter is in a bright little square, and that can be distracting. Have not noticed that on other backlit keyboards I have used. Camera is not working out of the box. Have yet to report this to Lenovo support. I am confident that issue will be resolved, but wanted to be complete in review. Overall am okay with the new laptop. Expect to get years of reliable use once the unit is fully functional and I develop habits to mitigate the inconvenient visual interface.

Really like this laptop. It’s light, I love the color and the backlit keyboard is a great plus. The only thing I have to complain is the battery life which doesn’t seem to last very long for me. Maybe 4-5 hours of use before I need to plug it in. Charges fast though
