Take performance on the go with the graphite gray 15.6″ IdeaPad 5 Laptop from Lenovo. Designed for work or play, the IdeaPad 5 sports a 1 GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM for punchy processing. An ample 512GB SSD can accommodate user files, including a video or photo library. Need more storage? This laptop also features an empty 2.5″ SATA III bay that can accommodate an HDD or SSD for even more storage space. Wired peripherals can be connected to two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports or a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting power delivery. Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is also present, allowing users to connect wireless peripherals as well. And, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, in addition to 2×2 dual-band support, users can take advantage of faster internet speeds and stronger connections compared to older Wi-Fi 5.
Employing a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 TN display with a 135° hinge, the IdeaPad 5 features integrated Intel UHD Graphics and can extend or mirror content to additional displays via the USB Type-C or HDMI 1.4b ports. Media can be accessed via a 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. And, with a 1MP HD webcam, dual-array microphone, and integrated speaker system, users can easily videoconference at home or out and about. When the webcam is not in use, you can even block the lens with a privacy shutter, ensuring privacy. Further safety measures include power-on, HDD, and supervisor passwords, as well as a dedicated TPM chip and touch-style fingerprint reader. In addition to a touchpad, the user interface includes a backlit keyboard with a number pad. This laptop features an integrated battery that can last for up 12 hours on a single charge. The Lenovo 15.6" IdeaPad 5 runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System.

My trusty Lenovo G780 died and I needed a replacement. The Ideapad 5 seems to be just as good of a computer as my old Lenovo. Man, it is so fast! The transition to Windows 10 wasn’t as bad as I had feared. I am very happy with my purchase.

I was forced into buying my Lenovo due to my old laptop being so old that it would not receive updates any longer. I basically use it for browsing and internet entertainment. I do use it however for basic business purposes. I use it remotely for my family’s business to do payroll, sales tax and bill paying. This helps me tremendously since it saves me from having to actually travel to the site. My old laptop had VISTA installed!!! Ugh! That’s what the salesperson said when I told him. Although Windows 10 takes some getting used to, the tutorials in this unit have made it a smooth transition. I didn’t need a unit with all the bells & whistles, just a basic one, that didn’t cost a fortune. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who’s needs are similar to mine. I think it does so much more than I’m aware of. I’m looking forward to discovering it’s capabilities. All that said, I love it!!!

There is so many Lenovo laptop options I think there is a perfect fit for anyone! I must say getting a cpu with 16gb, 512 ssd , 15″ ips touch screen etc for 600$ is unbeatable deal! 1,400 savings easy to any other with the same specs. The keys feel great and the trackpad is not huge its a great size and the grey color is very good looking.

This laptop was great right out of the box from storage media, to RAM, and Processor. NVMe Disk makes everything lighting fast and responsive, better than SATA SSD, and infinitely improved from classic hard drives. The case is very sturdy, especially in comparison to my D-brand laptops. Minimal bloatware. Very nice feeling keyboard, with the added benefit of 10-Key. Touchscreen is a very usable upgrade as well. Display looks sharp and crisp, and easy to read for all-day working.
