My daughter is entering her last year of High School in the Fall of 2020. She’s a straight A student. She has been attending On-line School for two and a half years now. Her HP Laptop that she has had began to break at the hinges. So to ensure that her last year of School wouldn’t be problematic due to her HP Laptop failing her, I sacrificed and bought this Laptop for her. I told her to look up what Laptop she wanted. I gave her a budget of $800 and she chose this IdeaPad 5 Laptop. She looked up reviews on many Laptops. When it arrived, she was so excited that she tossed her breakfast into the microwave and hastened to the box. When she opened it, she sat there looking at it and rubbing it as if it had life, lol. Well, in a way it did for her because it meant that she didn’t have to prop up her HP Laptop with a pillow anymore and hope that it would work her entire day of On-line School. She hugged me and said, “Thank you Mom for my New Laptop.” She’s doing her Eleventh Grade Finals this week and she’s still coming out of the room smiling and hugging this Laptop, lol. Thanks for finishing her Eleventh Grade Finals and starting her last year of High School this Fall off with a bang!!!

First, setting up the computer was very easy, and we like that it sync’s with our desktop. The display is very clear. We haven’t had a chance to use it for Photoshop, so really can’t judge the speed, but we don’t expect any issues. The camera and microphone have worked well for group calls/meetings. Personally, I think every laptop should come with a wireless mouse. That’s an easy and inexpensive accessory to add.

Great display for a lap top – the screen is a great size and it is touch screen! Keyboard takes getting used to if switching from a Mac. I do like the numeric calculator added to the right side of the keyboard.

So far I like most everything about my Lenovo laptop. Finger scanner takes a bit getting used to but seems to work fine if my finger isn’t too dry.
