This guy is great for both PC & Mac. I’m not sure what the other viewer was talking about for not working on Mac, but I use this for both my personal mac desktop and professional PC laptop. I’m a business professional in NYC and it’s always on me.

The Drive takes a couple minute to set up and capture your finger print. Once the reader is set up, it’s pretty straight forward. You will have access to two partitions on the drive, one public and the other one private. The private section will only appear when you place your read finger on the reader. Otherwise, only the public folder appears. The finger print reader is reads quickly and the drive performance is great.

While it is compatible with Mac OS, the fingerprint feature is not. Lexar and B&H should be more clear. Only after buying 2 and trying them did I find out that I bought 2 that don’t do what the main feature and name suggest despite Lexar even picturing a Mac being used on their website. Only when you read the footnote fine print does it say that the fingerprint technology doesn’t work on Mac. Poorly done.

Works as expected. Most of the time I’m simply transferring non-sensitive stuff but I like having the easy security option. The bioscanner is simple and quick to set up and responds well in use. My one complaint is with its speed. The speed (read 150) is okay for general use but I wish there was a faster version, say in the range of read 400/write 150 which my older Lexars have. Overall, a good buy.
