We just got the monitor and its amazing. Text quality and picture quality are un-comparable. Excellent monitor over all. Cons: One single button for all menus. They could have provided at least power off button, brightness adjustment button on the front right bottom corner.

Bought this looking for a good quality monitor for my pc and console and did not disappoint

I have been completely satisfied with my monitor. I don’t game, but with this monitor it is possible if I upgrade my PC. I use it primarily for my daily work as a solutions architect and occaissional coding. It allows be to put a great deal more information on the screen at one time. I also use it for photo editing where it is a huge improvement over my old HD monitor. I was able to obtain a much better brightness calibration. The monitor display is crisp and the color gamut excellent for a monitor at this price point. I did a lot of shopping around before purchasing, and really believe that you would need to spend almost twice as much to get a significantly better monitor.

I don’t use this for gaming. It’s attached to my MacBook Pro and it works brilliantly. There is no lag and the display is near picture perfect.

After years of struggling with LCD monitors for word processing and being frustrated with the poor legibility of smaller fonts, I bought this one to use at 1920×1080 pixel resolution. What an improvement! It has been a joy during the two weeks I’ve had it, and I have recommended it to several people. Photos also look nicer, and the color rendition is great.

The LG 24UD58-B represents an exceptional value in high-end displays. I’ve been using a dual-display setup for a couple years now, with a 2.15″ 4K iMac as the primary display and, until recently, an inexpensive 1080p monitor as the secondary display. The difference in clarity, brightness and color gamut was noticeable and when it died suddenly, just after the warranty ran out, I decided it was time to upgrade to a much better secondary display. I quickly discovered, however, that UHD and 4K displays start at over $500, and that most are 27″ or 32″ or larger, without any increase in resolution. Not only would a 27″ display have dwarfed my primary display, but it would have overwhelmed the remaining space on my computer desk. The whole idea behind a so-called retina display is to use the higher dot-pitch to improve graphics – not to make text larger. The LG display has three inputs – two HDMI inputs and a DisplayPort input. I learned the hard way that using either HDMI input with the iMac limits the frame rate to 30 fps and, worse still, restricts the display to 1080p. In order to take full advantage of UHD resolution, it’s necessary to use the DisplayPort input, either via a Thunderbolt dock or via a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter. When connected via the DisplayPort interface, the iMac instantly recognizes the display as a retina display and affords it the same virtual graphics resolution as it does its native display. In other words, it maintains full resolution graphics while adjusting text size to the user’s taste. I find that, as with the primary display, I tend to set the resolution higher than the default setting, as the text is much crisper than on a conventional display and I prefer a larger desktop. I’ve been using my LG monitor for a few weeks now and continue to be impressed by how well it matches the Apple display next to it. It’s not quite as bright, even at maximum setting, but it’s sharp and clear, even with its dull matte finish. I now use the two displays equally, which is a big improvement over the old secondary display. The controls are very intuitive and accessed via a single joystick on the underside of the display. This works much better than more traditional arrangements of buttons. The app provided via download adds some additional features that are useful. I find the split-screen option much more versatile and useful than Apple’s own, but it doesn’t play well with changing apps. I use it to arrange my screen, and then I turn it off. For Mac users, LG needs to improve split screen to make it aware of multiple screens and to better adapt to different groups of apps. All in all, I find the LG 24UD58-B to be a pleasure to use and a significant addition to my setup. That it only cost about $250 makes it an affordable option for those needing a high-performance graphic display.

The picture quality is great, streaming videos and playing games.

The screen clarity and performance is as expected. Sharp picture with good color accuracy. Used for video processing and also as a general second monitor. My only issue is that you cannot have a Mac and PC feed at the same time in split screen.

The monitor provides great image quality, is very easy to set up and match to my laptop plus the features and adjustments are easily accessible. It is a great value and is the perfect solution for my needs. I plan to purchase another for my other office.

It works great. I like it. The screen is bright. It has good colors. And great viewing angles.

This is a very nice monitor. The stand is okay but wish it had a tilt to it.

Connected to early 2020 Intel Mac mini via HDMI through USB-C hub at native resolution on Catalina. Great color, brightness and sharpness; adaptive mode works surprisingly well. Tends toward a cooler color temperature and will have to try calibrating. High-gloss bezels angled toward user creates some glare from ambient light. Wish for a software based MacOS app to control display and map to keyboard; joystick is easy to use but cumbersome. Overall a great value for the price and would definitely recommend.

I am very happy with this monitor. I had to call support a few times to get it set up, but it now works very nicely.

Normally I shop for eletronics at Best Buy. I wanted this specific model and they ran out. After a long delay of waiting for restock I discovered B&H had it, same price (or within a couple $). I ordered it and it was here in a few days! Couldn’t ask for anything better.

-good build quality and overall aesthetic. great color reproduction and resolution. good price for its value. -produce fair amount of heat on the screen with high brightness. overall screen brightness is just average. consider this if you re going to use it in a well lit environment. -unless you have a beefy computer that can drive any video games at 4K 60fps+ buying this monitor solely for playing games is not recommended because tearing is more pronounced on a 27inch 60hz display. turn down resolution to Full HD is not good either since its not native resolution of the monitor and will be visibly worse looking than a native 1080p display.

I purchase this monitor a month ago or so. I love the crisp color and details I get to see when working on my images, it’s really amazing how much you get out of a 4K. It was super easy to set up and the on screen controls make it easy to use and adjust. It’s pretty light weight too which I like. I am super happy with my purchase

I got this as part of an upgrade to my setup. Immediately, I notice how sharp the pictures are. Even in dark videos, I can see a lot more details than before. Just wish that HDMI will also deliver 60hz at 4K.

This is a great monitor. Moving up to this from a 22″ monitor has been great. I do a lot of video editing and motion graphics work that requires lots of tool panels and timelines, etc. all on screen at the same time. This monitor has plenty of space for everything. Setup could not have been easier!

You cannot beat this monitor at this price. Although I’m not a gamer, my primary use for this is work and a developer, and with the 4K IPS LED at 27″, its more than sufficient for my needs.
