Love this monitor. Buy this monitor. I did what you’re doing right now….spending a whole quarantine day comparing and contrasting ball the different monitor specs. This one is it. It has everything you need.

So I ordered this monitor back the beginning of March. While I won’t say that I loved it at the time, I would be more inclined to state that I enjoyed it. The color options on it aren’t perfect and the profile settings aren’t great, but you get what you pay for, it’s a $300 monitor that does 4K at 32. Basically I needed this for my main monitor and was going to have a secondary monitor, smaller in this case, used for color correction. Well this is where the problem lies. The inputs on this monitor were finicky from the get-go. Basically when I first plugged in my PC to this thing it failed to find it as an input, after a bit more trial and error I was able to get it to recognize my PC and therefore it worked… until today that is. I go to turn the monitor on, fire up my PC, and….wait…wait..wait….. No Signal Entering Power Saving Mode. Ok, not a big deal, maybe it’s just a glitch. So I start pressing buttons on my keyboard, nothing. I look at my keyboard, both Numlock and Caps lock lights are lit up when I press them, well Numlock always is once activated. It appears that the PC is on, but let me just troubleshoot. I then fire up my other PC at this point and go to a different input on the monitor, this time same message as before. Weird? I unplug all the cables to the monitor and start with each input source one at a time. Still nothing. I unplug the power to the monitor, wait a minute, still nothing. At this point I’m getting worried, is it both PC’s that are having issues, highly unlikely but you never know. I then go get a different monitor plug it in to one of the PC’s that is running and sure enough get a picture. Well that concludes my saga with this LG Monitor, just over three months and it’s defective. I called their customer support and set up a ticket with them for repair. I will say that the customers support isn’t the best but not the worst, just middle of the road. I then go to B&H’s website to look at my purchase since I needed some sort of confirmation that I purchased it from them for the ticket. I click on the page for the monitor, and guess what? It’s discontinued, I wonder why? Well I should have known better a few reviews I read of this thing beforehand said that inputs went dead on it after some time, shame on me. Usually I don’t believe all the negative reviews but in this case they’re true at least for me.
