The 34UM68-P 34" 21:9 UltraWide FreeSync IPS Monitor from LG features an ultra-wide display that’s suitable for both work and play. For work and multitasking purposes, an ultra-wide display lets you have multiple windows side by side, or one large window where you can see all the details. On the other hand, gaming on this monitor will feel more immersive as the large screen takes up most of your field of view, putting you right in the middle of the action.
With a 2560 x 1080 resolution, the 34UM68-P provides you with crisp and clear pictures. It is constructed with an In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel, which has wide viewing angles and immersive colors. Combined with a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 300 cd/m² brightness rating, 8-bit color support, and a 5 ms response time, you’ll be able to enjoy vivid, lag-free content reproduction with darker blacks and brighter bright colors.
Furthermore, this monitor supports FreeSync (Adaptive Sync) technology through DisplayPort, which synchronizes your graphics card with the display to output content at variable refresh rates, eliminating screen stuttering and tearing. Connect this display to your system via DisplayPort or HDMI, then tilt and adjust its height to your viewing preference. Otherwise, you can install a different mount or stand using the VESA mounting pattern holes on the back.

I bought this product six months ago or so. The first monitor stopped working withing four day, then I sent it back for a replacement. Now, the monitor has small vertical lines (Only two, a small purple line and a green one) running down the screen. It is a great monitor, don’t get me wrong. But it should be having problems like this only a few months after using it. And it is not the cables or power cord, but the monitor itself.

I’ve had this LG monitor for a couple of weeks and I appreciate it more everyday. It replaced two, side-by-side, 21.5″ montors. Without the double center bezels of the 21.5″ monitors and with an approx. 3″ additional height I have much more monitor landscape. It’s taken me a while to get used to but now I can size and move application windows around to my best advanatage and usually have 5 or 6 open at a time. I don’t do games, but this monitor is definitely a smooth boost to productivity.

Was looking for an Ultra-Wide screen that would work with my 2010 Mac Pro. After much research, I bought this and it works perfect for my work flow. You can’t use the the HDMI adaptor with this setup but I use the display port on the Mac Pro and the screen and it works great.

I used to have two 24 widescreen monitors in my home office. I was tired of the gap between the monitors and all the space they took on my desk. I’m super glad I upgraded to this one! The only complaint I have is that the speakers volume doesn’t seem to adjust very well. If the volume is at 30 and I raise it to 50, there’s barely any difference. but if I go higher, that’s when it actually gets louder. The speakers are still good enough for what I need so it’s not a big deal.

I’m loving the 21:9 ultrawide screen format, and the 2560×1080 resolution seems to exactly hit the sweet spot for playable frame rates in modern AAA games with all the eye candy maxed out on my GeForce 980Ti. I was a bit disappointed in the monitor’s brightness, but for the money it’s an excellent value.

Overall great monitor for the money. Only negative was the ability to consistently resurrect the monitor from a sleep phase in the computer. Many times, I have to force it to come out of sleep.

I have primarily bought this work work. As a developer I need to fit to a screen a lot of things to speed up my work. Having a 34″ monitor I cannot say how much easier my work become. At the same time I occasionally play some games like Dota2 and league of legends. I can say only positive words about this screen when it comes to basic gaming. I am sure this wouldn’t be the greatest screen for highest level of gaming, but I can say for the price it is really a best buy in that category of 34″ ultra wide screen market

Instead of getting two separate monitors I decided to get this extra wide screen from LG. I am very happy with my decision. Picture quality is excellent. I love the extra wide screen which allows me to work on two Excel Worksheets at a time. Watching movies and gaming is incredible on the monitor. The stand that supports the monitor is good and the screen fits perfectly on my desk. The only drawback is it does not have a USB outlet. I had to purchase a separate 4 port USB hub so I had connections for my keyboard, mouse and other miscellaneous.

Due to the lower resolution (standard hd) the monitor doesn’t offer additional realestate, rather the text is just larger. I wound up returning and purchasing a 34UC80-B which has qhd resolution.

I purchased this screen during black friday from Amazon and it has been issue free since. I use mine primarily as a secondary screen for my laptop. It is way more screen than I need, but it is a nice luxury, and for the $, why not. Even if you are not a gamer, and need the second screen for productivity, or even to play the occasional video, etc you cannot go wrong with this thing.

THIS MONITOR CAME OUT IN 2017 SO IT HAS BEEN TIME TESTED. A ADJUSTABLE STAND IS A MUST FOR A MONITOR OF THIS SIZE. LED IS BETTER THAN A LCD. BUT GAVE UP THE HDR THAT OTHERS HAVE FOR THIS PRICE RANGE.

I got this as a prize for winning a competition, and was just stunned when I saw how big the box was. It barely fits on my desk, but it’s replaced 2 monitors for me with extremely high-quality graphics. The speakers are even decent, although I generally use my headset if I’m near enough to hear them. The screen real estate is great for programming and for gaming. The only thing that I’d wish for is to remove the black border, which feels like it should be more screen since the frame is actually very tiny.
