The 34UM68-P 34" 21:9 UltraWide FreeSync IPS Monitor from LG features an ultra-wide display that’s suitable for both work and play. For work and multitasking purposes, an ultra-wide display lets you have multiple windows side by side, or one large window where you can see all the details. On the other hand, gaming on this monitor will feel more immersive as the large screen takes up most of your field of view, putting you right in the middle of the action.
With a 2560 x 1080 resolution, the 34UM68-P provides you with crisp and clear pictures. It is constructed with an In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel, which has wide viewing angles and immersive colors. Combined with a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 300 cd/m² brightness rating, 8-bit color support, and a 5 ms response time, you’ll be able to enjoy vivid, lag-free content reproduction with darker blacks and brighter bright colors.
Furthermore, this monitor supports FreeSync (Adaptive Sync) technology through DisplayPort, which synchronizes your graphics card with the display to output content at variable refresh rates, eliminating screen stuttering and tearing. Connect this display to your system via DisplayPort or HDMI, then tilt and adjust its height to your viewing preference. Otherwise, you can install a different mount or stand using the VESA mounting pattern holes on the back.

I purchased this monitor about a month ago and it has really done great, freesync looks amazing and the 1ms response time is really nice. I like that the screen is not curved, it is actually really nice. The stand is a high quality stand, the adjustment is easy and has a tall range of motion.

After 18 month the image stopped displaying. The motherboard has gone bad, parts are not available, and the warranty was only one year. Now what? The repair shop says both LG distributors show no parts for this model are available. The repair shop says normally there is a small secondary board that is all that needs to be replaced, but for whatever reason LG integrated it into the main board in this model. Normally the same bad board would be used across many models. Not in this one. Not under warranty AND it can’t be fixed! Thanks LG. What a waste of money.

I’m not a serious producer or gamer by any means but from what I can tell, this monitor is a great price for the length and color quality. I really enjoy the usb-c port to connect to my MacBook Pro and the On Screen Control software lets you multi task like 8 different windows at once. The only reason I give this a four star rating is that the blacks could be blacker and the bezels thinner. Overall you get what you pay for and if you handle it with care it’s a quality product.

LG 34UM68-P 34 Bought it for my recent video editing build. Wish Id bought it years ago. Its so nice to have the extra horizontal room and have multiple project folders open. The stand is very sturdy. I like the button underneath the front panel to quickly turn the monitor off or access the menu. The menus are easy to use. Colors, brightness and crispness on this monitor are great. Using a i7 5820k, Asus with 16gb, 500ssd boot, Wd4tb data and R9 390

I had bought my first of 3 around 2-1/2 years ago. I had been editing on FCPX and wanted to save desk space but have the benefits of the screen space of 2 monitors. As my business was expanding, I needed to monitor my social media channels, Outlook, and chats while working so I purchased a second. When my business took the next step and I leased an office out of my house, I purchased this one to keep at home and took my previous pair to my office. I could not be more satisfied. This monitor is fantastic. I should mention the advantage it gives to my MacBook Pro with a Thunderbolt connection to the monitor is fantastic! Great colors, great connections, and I would buy a 4th for my factory office in the near future.

For any normal person who wants an ultra wide this is more than sufficient. I only use it for work but it allows me to have three screens up at the same time thus allowing me to be super productive. I don’t use it for gaming or anything else but for what I use it for it is perfect. It is also very modestly priced. I have a 38 inch Dell ultra wide at the office that costs 3x more but other than a little screen real estate – they offer a very similar experience. I would definitely recommend getting this monitor.

I’ve had some time to test this monitor out after receiving it and it suits my needs perfectly. I don’t currently have the space for two separate monitors and this one is the best of both worlds–screen real estate without the separation. The resolution is great for my needs and the bevel is thin enough. Seems to be color accurate right out of the box. The one downside is that it’s not a 4K or HDR monitor, but for the price and the quality–It’s hard to pass this one up!
