The 34UM68-P 34" 21:9 UltraWide FreeSync IPS Monitor from LG features an ultra-wide display that’s suitable for both work and play. For work and multitasking purposes, an ultra-wide display lets you have multiple windows side by side, or one large window where you can see all the details. On the other hand, gaming on this monitor will feel more immersive as the large screen takes up most of your field of view, putting you right in the middle of the action.
With a 2560 x 1080 resolution, the 34UM68-P provides you with crisp and clear pictures. It is constructed with an In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel, which has wide viewing angles and immersive colors. Combined with a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 300 cd/m² brightness rating, 8-bit color support, and a 5 ms response time, you’ll be able to enjoy vivid, lag-free content reproduction with darker blacks and brighter bright colors.
Furthermore, this monitor supports FreeSync (Adaptive Sync) technology through DisplayPort, which synchronizes your graphics card with the display to output content at variable refresh rates, eliminating screen stuttering and tearing. Connect this display to your system via DisplayPort or HDMI, then tilt and adjust its height to your viewing preference. Otherwise, you can install a different mount or stand using the VESA mounting pattern holes on the back.

I really like the monitor but it had a pixel or two size hole in the monitor that could be felt with my finger. I decided to keep the monitor since it would have been a hassle to return it for a new one and run the risk of getting one with dead pixels or something. QC is a bit lacking here but overall I am enjoying the monitor a lot.

This monitor is great for multitasking wether it’s for work or just personal use. I play alot of PC games as well and they all look great now. It was definitely a great purchase especially for the price. Has great features like PIP, split screen, 4k display, and great presets if you don’t want to mess around with the settings.

I’ve had this monitor a while, purchased to double as a small TV from the computer, and of course a gaming monitor. My computer has two Nvidia cards, old but powerful for most games and the monitor is great.. except for the red flickers, unless it’s set/game is set to windowed mode. No full screen as the image flickers bright red until the game is set to windowed mode, nor borderless window either. My older games don’t like the wide screen much as their max res is far too low. All play though, but cannot get the widescreen advantage I was after. This model is a kind of sneaky marketing victim, or I am, as this one only goes to 75 max on refresh, but my Nvidia cards seems to get along with the AMD based monitor brains. Anyway, the red flicker of demise worries me, to make it seem the monitor isn’t complete or defective as no ‘fixit’ abounds online, hence this ‘iffy’ review with only three stars for a probably worth it wide screen monitor. I hope it doesn’t quit tomorrow and I doubt that LG could find any fault other than the red flashy, if they could reproduce it.

I purchased this monitor to supplement my laptop because my company developers are all moving to work from home. I wanted an ultra wide monitor to replace the 2 smaller monitors I had hooked up at the office. The monitor performs very well. The setup was easy and I like the button on the bottom/center of the monitor which is used to make adjustments very easily without having to reach around the sides and figure out which button I need by touch. The color is great for my purposes – I am not a gamer – and it is very clear and precise. The monitor slides easily up and down it’s stand which is important because I have a standing/sitting desk and like to alternate throughout the day. It’s great to be able to easily adjust the height of the monitor in relation to the height of the desk. There is software to download from LG.com that was not so easy to find. It’s actually called OnScreen Control which is different from what the short video says. I downloaded it to my iMac and it works perfectly to divide up the monitor into separate screens. I haven’t gotten it on my work laptop yet due to permissions. I use a KVM Switch to toggle between using this for music production with my iMac and my work as a developer on a Windows 10 laptop. I use HDMI cable from the laptop to the KVM Switch and then another into the monitor. I am happy with my purchase.
