The 34UM68-P 34" 21:9 UltraWide FreeSync IPS Monitor from LG features an ultra-wide display that’s suitable for both work and play. For work and multitasking purposes, an ultra-wide display lets you have multiple windows side by side, or one large window where you can see all the details. On the other hand, gaming on this monitor will feel more immersive as the large screen takes up most of your field of view, putting you right in the middle of the action.
With a 2560 x 1080 resolution, the 34UM68-P provides you with crisp and clear pictures. It is constructed with an In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel, which has wide viewing angles and immersive colors. Combined with a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 300 cd/m² brightness rating, 8-bit color support, and a 5 ms response time, you’ll be able to enjoy vivid, lag-free content reproduction with darker blacks and brighter bright colors.
Furthermore, this monitor supports FreeSync (Adaptive Sync) technology through DisplayPort, which synchronizes your graphics card with the display to output content at variable refresh rates, eliminating screen stuttering and tearing. Connect this display to your system via DisplayPort or HDMI, then tilt and adjust its height to your viewing preference. Otherwise, you can install a different mount or stand using the VESA mounting pattern holes on the back.

It’s been almost a month now and I wish I had bought this earlier. I had my doubts about 1080p resolution on a 34″ monitor, infamous backlight bleeds on ips monitors and some other small stuff but I don’t feel any pixelation. There is a really small backlight bleed at the lower frame near the lg logo but it is really small and not noticeable enough to bother with getting a replacement. Overall I am very happy with the colors. Watching movies on an 34″ ultrawide is just AMAZING. I have the monitor mounted on an arm that has the reach to swing from my desk to my bed and now all I do is watch movies one after an other. I used to frequently go to the movies but since I get this beast I don’t feel the need to. Another big plus is the multitasking with LGs onscreen controls, which lets you seamlessly divide your screen into multiple parts which gives you so much space and freedom. Definitely a must-buy! There are lots of LG 34″ ultrawide variations with loads of different specs, just browse them and get one that meets your needs, like 144hz refresh rate, higher brightness levels, mounting, etc or just get a simple 34″ ultrawide just to multitask and watch movies the way they are meant to and pay less.

I just purchased this monitor and at first I was disappointed. There weren’t clear direction or drivers in the materials enclosed with the monitor. Once I found the manual and the drivers at the website, everything smoothed out. The monitor has a very sharp picture and is a little smaller than the dual monitors I used to have. The additional contrast makes up for that but after looking at my daughter’s dual curved monitor setup, I think I will eventually get another 34″ monitor. This monitor is powered with an ASUS AMD Radeon RX 5700 Overclocked 8G GDDR6 Dual Fan EVO Edition HDMI DisplayPort Gaming Graphics Card. The display is easy to read, but I will get a curved monitor in the future even though I have had no trouble reading the edges of the monitor. I have had very good experience with LG electronics in the past and added this monitor and an M-Disk Blueray-DVD writer to my current build for that reason. The monitor has a stable stand and has more adjustment than I needed (Vertical and tilt). It has a handy joy stick control in the bottom center of the monitor for quick video adjustments. If you don’t have the money to get a curved monitor, I recommend this product.

Love the 2 LG UltraWide monitors but maybe not the solution for dual monitors for desktop purposes. In setting these up, we are only able to benefit from high resolution on one of the 2 monitors. One is at 2560 x 1080 but other will only go to 1920 x 1080. Not the ideal situation.

The picture-by-picture (PBP) feature is what I most needed from this monitor, and it works seemlessly! I use this monitor for work by combining two different laptops (mac os and windows 7) and so far, I have enjoyed it. Quality of screen is great, no flickering or any issues encountered yet. Sound is great, and overall I think it is worth the money.

Wanted to add a second monitor but couldn’t fit two in the space available. Then though of simply getting a bigger monitor and the reviews led me to this. Totally pleased with the result. The picture is great (I do photo work) and the screen affords me room to have two windows side by side. Also gives more room when scoring music and might need three windows. Two of these monitors would be really great. I’m gonna need a bigger room.

I wrote a previous review when I ordered it and since it hadn’t arrived, promised a follow-up. As many know, age affects our eyes as well as many things do. Working outside all my life and then being a webmaster from ’98 to 2008 I spent a lot of time looking at screens. In the past few months it was getting crazy – crazy to the point of not being able to sit in front of the computer (I rarely watch TV) for an hour and I’d have to break, put some drops in, and go back. Although money is tight, I can’t think of much that’s more important than one’s vision. Well, after a week of this TV-Monitor the problem is 90% gone. It requires a very good video card, but if you are not gaming we are talking a Hundred bucks. Set-up is very easy, and I couldn’t be happier with it – and of course B&H was the icing on the cake. Thanks to everyone who shares their knowledge-Y’all saved me going to see doctors!

After doing my homework, this monitor had everything I needed and wanted and at a reasonable price point.
