I’ve wanted a cake done for a long time now but never ended up buying one as they’ve never been quite right for the price bracket I’m happy to spend (I.e. not hundreds on a crystal one). Stumbled across this one (on Home Depot, that I was surprised to find that they sell) & it ticks all of the boxes. It’s a classically simple design that shouldn’t go out of style as it’s free from patterns & embellishments. It’s tall enough to accommodate a 9 inch, 3 layer cake with room for frosting. It can also hold about 8 frosted cupcakes.The handle on top of the dome is nice & big so it’s easy to grab hold of. It cleans up well too, with a little Dawn & towel drying it comes out sparkling. Am considering buying a second one.

Very happy with this cake stand/dome. It’s very attractive, solidly made and doesn’t have visible seams from the manufacturing process. It’s pretty enough to leave out all the time. Also of interest is that it looks a lot like a handblown/handmade model from a New England glass company but it’s MUCH less expensive.

I haven’t used it yet, but I measured the dome on the inside and it’s 10.5 inches, should be enough to cover my 9 inch wide cakes with frosting. Hopefully. Arrived unbroken and quickly.
