   The shooting star Christmas icicle light string is very nice and will add a sparkle to my front porch at Christmas. The set appears to be of high quality and is amazing to watch as each icicle randomly flashes a blue light down the length of the icicle. The string is about eight feet long with an icicle every foot for a total of eight icicles. The icicles are made of a thick plastic with facets formed in them to scatter the light and create a sparkling affect. According to the manufacturer, they are rated for outdoors and up to 18 sets can be connected together.

   The lights are OK but it does not shine too bright. I was hoping that it’s a bright blueish light streaming constantly or at least have some good pattern. But the effect is very slow and does not provide a good continuous effect. It’s hard to explain but this is one of those buy at your own risk. It’s a good addition but with just 8 pieces, and like a foot apart, I didn’t get the effect I’m looking for unless I buy maybe 3 or 4 more and overlap the lines.I would still recommend it as the quality is very good but I would advise to buy more if you want to have a good shooting star effect.

    Great set of icicle lights with cool dripping (shooting star) effect. Look great lit or not. They don’t change colors so if you want that these are not for you, but they are beautiful with white lights.Highly recommended!

    Very pretty Christmas blue/white shooting start Christmas icicle LID string lights. With temps still close to 100 degrees just tired out in shop to see how I would like them, I do like them look good and very easy to hang and easy to add more stings as you can just plug in an additional strings up to 18 of them all off the one extension cord used for power. Great buy and very pretty

    Pro: They look great.Cons: They only cover 7 to 8 feet per strand which makes it fairly expensive to cover the front of the house.They have a large white plastic pod at the beginning of each strand, very close to the first icicle, which is unsightly. Had they made it a bit further away from the first icicle, the pod could probably have been hidden in the gutter of the house.They must face a specific direction as they don’t have 360 degree visibility.

    Bought to replace burnt out string of supposedly same type. Nothing wrong with the light string, just does not operate the same as earlier models of 3 years ago. The icicles have a constant on low led light and the ‘drip’ effect runs down the icicle. older models did not have the low led light background lighting.

    I’m just a kid at heart and I get excited for Christmas as early as August. I came across the LightShow 48-Light Blue/White Shooting Star Christmas Icicle LED String Light and put in my order. I moved a couple of years ago and got rid of almost all of my outdoor Christmas decorations. They were either too old or out of date. Now I am building my Christmas light collection up again slowly. After waiting only a couple of days the Icicle lights arrived in a well packaged box. I opened the box and took out the strand of lights. The temperature is still in the upper 80’s so I spread them out on my kitchen counter. The lights all spread out measure 7 ft. in length. There are 8 Icicles in 3 different lengths of 7 inch, 9 inch and 11 inches to give the illusion of natural icicles. The wire is white making them look more like natural icicles. The Icicles are energy efficient LED bulbs that will last longer than traditional bulbs and save you money in the long run. They can be used either indoor or outdoor and you can connect up to 18 strands end to end together without causing an overload.According to the paperwork this set from LightShow has gorgeous shooting star technology which displays a downward shooting star light show effect. Kind of like a drop of water trickling down the Icicle. The icicles light up white and blue and then graduate between white and blue meaning part of the light is white and part is blue then white again. This produces a very interesting and pleasing look. Like ice and water.I have a V shaped peak on the front of my house. Last year I didn’t have enough lights to cover the V peak so this year I will use the LightShow Icicle lights.I ‘m having a hard time waiting until after Thanksgiving to put up these beautiful lights which is what I usually do. So this Year I might have to put them up before Thanksgiving.I am completely satisfied with the LightShow 48-Light Blue/White Shooting Star Christmas Icicle LED String Lights and will highly recommend them to family and friends.
