I just bought two strands of these lights and was thinking about buying a free more. What concerns me is that these type of programmed light seem to fail not long after you buy them. I purchased these are filtered on the highest reviews. However, when you take a closer look at the review they were all posted in August 2020?!? I was forced to add a rating and recommendation. I guess time will tell?

After buying 4 strands of these lights and installing them on my roof, one strand went completely out and single bulbs on the other strands became “lazy” and changed colors slower than the rest. I was excited to finally get new lights and now I’m just disappointed.They look great when they work though…

Modern multicolor LEDs make it possible for these lights to change color and for the string of lights to display different patterns and lighting effects. They dance about, flash and change colors continuously. The colors are red, blue, green, orange and white.You get 24 lights along 23 feet of string. There is an additional 9 inches of cable on either end.You plug them directly into 120V AC power. The plug contains small fuses and are thus also suitable for outdoor use. (Having these things flashing continuously inside a living area would probably drive one crazy anyway.)Each string consumes 12 Watts of energy. The other end of the string is a power socket allowing one to chain together multiple strings. The maximum the wires can handle is 1.8A allowing 18 such strings to be combined.The only difference between these lights and the similar product indicated as C7 lights is that the plastic cover mounted over each LED is a bit larger than the C7 ones. They are so similar that they used the same photograph on the box and did some photoshopping to make them a bit different.No spare fuses supplied.Made in China

These lights are about an inch and a half big, so really nice for outdoor or to cover a bigger area. They are LED so super bright but do not get hot. They use very little electricity too, so that’s a savings! The lights are all clear with green bases with red lettering spelling out “NOEL”. Once turned on they are different colors. Very bright and clear, made of good quality so not worried about them breaking on windy days.

Sometimes simpler is better, other times flexibility is best. This set could use some flexibility.This Gemmy Industries LED Lightshow Colormotion set is simple. There is only one program. In many respects, that is good because there is less to fail. However, you are only provided one program, like it or not. I have attached a video to this review if you’d like to see the program in action. Look for the photo with the play arrow. It is simply a matter of taste if you like it or not.I have a few other Gemmy lights that can be controlled via a phone app. I really like them because you can change the program, some of which are very pleasing and clever, like their rainbow wave program. I was hoping this program would be similar. Unfortunately, I found the program to be somewhat abrupt in places, with complete darkening and sudden flashes. In other places, it was too slow. Part of it may be because I had the lights strung up in a line. I’m suspecting these may go better on a tree and not in a straight line.Otherwise, the set is solid, with sturdy plastic enclosures for the LEDs. The LEDs are fairly bright and can cycle through many different colors. And it is LED and only 12 watts. There’s a lot to like there.It mostly comes down to the program. Check the video, attached is part 1. Look for part 2 also. It lasts about 3 minutes in total. Whether you like it or not is up to you.Made in China
