Chose App Lights as an addition to my Christmas light display. Added a nice background accent to the lights I already had on my house. I had the Kaleidoscope model which comes with a number of different light setting and colors to your liking, all controlled by your smart phone. The only reason I took one star away was the included instructions with the App Light. Got it working but noticed certain settings seemed to be not working. After about a half hour I called the customer service number which I have to say picked up right away and were very helpful. Anyhow, ends up the instruction book is for a number of different App Light models, (which I didn’t even know they sold). I figured it was my misunderstanding until the rep on the phone told me allot of people are calling up with the same misunderstanding thinking their light isn’t working because of the instructions. Aside from that misunderstanding the App Light itself was very easy to link to my smart phone and control the settings and colors.

I have all five of the “Applights” products. I am reviewing all of them after I displayed them together in my backyard. First of all, you change their color and patterns on a free app you download on the. You cannot turn them on or off or change anything remotely. They do not sync to music. They will continue their display if you turn your phone/tablet off. After their power is shut off they will go back to factory presets. Unlike the 4 other quality “Applights” products this item runs more independently. It does not have the holiday theme colors or sync up to the others in their displays. I wish it had Halloween colors. It can be brought out for Independence Day, but that’s about it except for Christmas. The “Lightshow” display has a little bit of everything and would be okay for a party. I found it effective on my wall up to 25 feet. Teamed up nicely with the RGB spotlight stake (set of three) . Good wiring, decent stake.

This spotlight is easy to use and worked right out of the box with very minimal set up. It can project several different color combinations and varying speeds of movement/flashing. The app is easy to use and I had no trouble getting my bluetooth to connect. I only wish it had a longer cord because it doesn’t get very far away from the house without an extension cord. I have mine plugged into a timer, which is already attached to an extension cord, so I was trying to avoid using another and having extension cords all over the yard. It’s fairly bright and even shines through the front windows onto the living room wall. Overall I really like it and it adds another dimension to my holiday decorations.

AppLights RGB Projection Spot LightThis is one of the best decorating ideas ever. In just a couple minutes the outside of your house can be covered in a kaleidoscopic of colors. I have included pictures. The cool part is that it has 49 different color shows and thus it is possible to use this decoration for multiple holidays. Everything from Christmas show, to snow falling, to glimmer, and to starry night. I wonder what I will do with the 4th of July. All of this is controlled by an app on your phone. At any rate, this is a clever product and the easiest decoration in the world to put up. I have included pictures

This is an incredibly easy and fun way to decorate your house for the holidays! It is all controlled by your bluetooth compatible device via a free app. There are numerous color combinations you can select: red, green, blue, red/red/green, red/red/blue, blue/blue/green, red/blue/green, white, white/red, white/blue, white/green, red/white/blue, light show. Additionally there are many effects for each color chosen: steady, glimmer, sparkle, and starry night. All you need to do is plug it in and your house is decorated! Great alternative to needing ladders to hang lights on the house. It is a fun and festive new way to decorate and have your entire house glow with holiday spirit!

I bought 5 of these. They look fine if a little dim if set too far from the house. I recommend not changing the name of the lights on your phone app as it doesn’t work well with the instructions. Leave that setting off for hassle fre control. 20 feet from the base of the home is max distance for vibrant colors.

If you don’t read the box carefully, it looks like there are lots of color combinations. There are only variations of red, blue, green, and white. The effects are still really cool, but I thought I’d be able to pick from a larger variety of colors (orange, pink, purple, etc.) to create other holiday themes too, but no such luck.

Similarly to the other products that AppLights sell, the assembly of the light and the installation of the app (if you didn’t have it already from another item) takes only a couple minutes. Unfortunately, that is where the good comments end. The projected light isn’t that bright and the littlest amount of ambient light diminishes the effects. I had to move the projector three times to find a place on my house that wasn’t affected by a neighbor’s porch light.

This is definitely the way for a busy person to decorate their home for the holidays ! Extremely easy to set up and operate. Simply download the app and operate using your smart phone. Works wonderfully with my iPhone 7 Plus. Provides a wide selection of effects and colors to choose from. Truly gave my family and neighbors a beautiful light show over the holidays.

I makes a spectacular light show when projected on the house or where ever. Lots of different colors in singular or multiple shows. This is just one of many lights that the company (Gemmy) has that include icicle lights and string lights and candy cane lane pathway lights. You are suppose to be able to program these to flash on and off to the sequence that you schedule on your iphone or android phone. I tried this on 2 different phones and both could not connect to the bluetooth of the light. In fact, one of the phones tried all night and drained a 95% battery down to 0%. I only have the one projection light, but it would be nice to be able to use the on/off switch that is connected with the app.
