I’m not as happy with with this one as I was with the candy cane lights. It seems to be built well, solid construction. Nice long heavy duty cord. It was easy to put together different light shows to choose from. The problem is that it”s not bright enough. I stuck it in the grass about 15 feet away from the house and I could barely see it. So I moved it up closer to the house and seems to be better but not as bright as I would like. And by moving it closer it narrows the field . So now instead of lighting the whole front of the house it only lights up my front porch. So I had to put regular lights on my bushes to light up the rest of the house. You could put it in a dark room and have a cool disco party.

Unit had trouble connecting to my blutooth phone and would lose setting and go back to light show after 20 minutes. Even after I set program it would lose setting and return to light show. Used password and still did same. As long as unit was pluggsd in it would try to access phone until it ran the battery down.

I don’t normally do outdoor displays for the holidays but the product line from applights has changed all that. They have a line of products that will absolutely make your holiday decorating a snap and pleasure. All their pathway lights spot lights are quality made with hardy stakes that plant them firmly in the ground. The string lights are quality made and easy to string with optional clips. The two decor items are nice and once constructed a nice addition to the display. They were cheaply made (only the framing and cover) the lights and programming was quality as are the rest of the product line. Construction of the snowman and deer was a pain. They both had an extra plug attached but was not polarized ( one spade bigger than the other). Which made them pretty much useless. Now for the fun part the whole system (up to eight strands) is controlled by Bluetooth from your phone or tablet. Up to 140 different programs selectable from your phone as well as on and off from the comfort of your home. The Bluetooth range is only about 30 foot. The kaleidoscope runs independent to the other products but on the same app. It offers up to 40 different programs and is not included in the eight product limits.

Only a 2-minute assembly, this light is fun to play with; flipping through the various colors of lights and the effects (lightshow, steady, glimmer, etc. It’s good for a darkened room or for outdoors. We have ours illuminating our olive tree. It is not a strong light and only reaches about 8-9 feet up the tree. That was a little disappointing, but it complements our other AppLights product: the icicles.

I own some other AppLights sets, so I wanted to get the Kaleidoscope light to expand my collection. Having the ability to change between multiple different colors and patterns using the AppLights smartphone app is great. The app lets you choose from several different color sets and patterns, turn the light on and off, and even set a password so other AppLights users can’t change your settings. The app uses Bluetooth and recognized the Kaleidoscope light right away, although it wasn’t immediately apparent to me. It was necessary for me to swipe left in the app to get to the Kaleidoscope settings, but there was no indication I could see in the app that I needed to do this. It seems that the Kaleidoscope can only make use of a limited number of the AppLights color and pattern combinations, so it requires its own page in the app.The AppLights Kaleidoscope will remember the selected color pattern each time the power is turned on, so you can also use it with a separate timer or other power control. I enjoy the Christmas Lightshow since it cycles through several different color combinations and light patterns. The app also has settings for other holidays, including Thanksgiving, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and Independence Day so you can use the Kaleidoscope light all year long.The light is made from a sturdy and durable plastic. It has a black plastic housing that’s about 5 inches long and a translucent multifaceted globe lens that’s about 4 inches across. The light has a ball joint at the base to allow a good amount of control over light placement and direction. It is attached to a stake for placement in the ground. I found the plastic stake to be a little flimsy in the hard ground of my yard. The light is reasonably bright and puts on a good show after dark.You could also use this for inside for parties and other events. It would make a reasonable dance floor light in a pinch, an interesting crystal ball at Halloween, or could be used to provide some spectacular Jack-O-Lantern illumination provided the pumpkin is big enough.

What a great addition to my front yard holiday lighting. My neighbors across the street also love the show. It is easy to set up and control with my andriod phone. The app downloads and sets up in minutes once paired. I have other AppLight items and they all can be maintained with one easy to use app. Great idea and wonderful results. My family loves this Projection Spot Light which can be used year round by changing themes and colors to match the seasons and or holiday. I have made this a year around fixture in my yard and will continue to enjoy it for many years to come I am sure. Heavy duty cord and made of solid materials that should hold up for many years to come. Thanks for providing another great product.

The Projection Spot light Stake came and looks great. I downloaded the App and started to play with it to see what it would do. Oh my Gosh it has so many colors and effects its hard to believe. I have yet to get through all of the effects but I am trying to. Very simple operation and many fun times ahead. This is a great product. Thank you for such a wonderful product.

This is another nice product with App Lights. I love the mobile app to control and change the light colors and settings. The app is easy to use but sometimes unresponsive on the blue tooth as many apps are. The lights are not as bright and colorful as I would have expected. However they do the job as long as you dont have a lot of other exterior illumination. It is best in a dark or lone area away from other lights.

This was easy to assemble and made for a great dance party with the kids inside.But, it does not translate onto a single story smaller home. It’s a bit underwhelming.It wasn’t till after I set up the two projection lights that I realized the commercial always shows a big two story house.I’m taking it back and getting string lights.

This projection light is really unique and highly customizable to complement almost any holiday light display. Setup is quite simple with the smartphone app, and once set up the phone does not need to connect to the light again, even if power is cut off, unless you want to change the settings.I found that playing with all of the color options and patterns was the most time-consuming part of setup, simply because there are so many options. There are even preprogrammed scenes for other holidays, just in case you need to convince your HOA that it’s a Saint Patrick’s Day display when you haven’t taken down your Christmas lights by mid-March!The light is not quite as bright as I would have liked, and we weren’t able to use the projector where we had initially planned because of other lights washing out the effect. It would be great if the brightness were adjustable to compensate for longer distances or ambient light.We ended up pointing the projector upward at a large tree in the center of our yard, and it produced a very nice effect for the centerpiece of our light display. Projecting 10-15′ up to the branches was still bright enough to see the colors shimmering even with a streetlight directly across the street. This actually was a pretty neat way to light a tree with minimal effort, and I ended up liking the result better than how we had initially planned to use the projector.Definitely test the brightness in similar lighting to see if it is bright enough for how you plan to incorporate this in a light display before finalizing your plan. You would definitely need 2-3 to light up an entire house like people have started doing with laser lights. However the light is much more subtle and pleasant than lasers, and this is great for aiming upward at angles over 30 degrees that are prohibited for lasers.

I already have 24-Light Multi-Color Icicle String Light Set and want to get add to the AppLight. This Kaleidoscope Spotlight can be added to the app to turn the unit on or off and change the effects It has 49 different effects. It LED so it doesn’t use much power. Since I already had the app it recognizes the Kaleidoscope Spotlight. If you have issue recognized you may have to plug and unplug it 4 times to make it connect to the phone app
