Take advantage of Gigabit transfer rates across all ports with the LGS528P 28-Port Managed Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Switch from Linksys. Of the 28 GbE ports, 24 offer PoE+ connectivity supporting PoE devices such as access points, VoIP equipment, and more. In addition to PoE Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, users also benefit from dual combo mini-GBIC (SFP) ports for high-speed local network links. This high-performance switch features an energy efficient design complete with support for Layer 3 static routing, IPV6, and IP telephony.
To accompany the high-speed network connections offered by the LGS528P switch, Linksys has included intuitive Quality of Service (QoS) functionality to ensure bandwidth intensive tasks have priority on the network. Security features include MAC-based port security, advanced DHCP snooping, and IP-MAC-Port binding. The network can even be expanded beyond the capabilities of this switch with support for multiple high-bandwidth trunks between switches for enhanced availability and redundancy.
Once configured, the Linksys LGS528P switch comes equipped with 28 Gigabit Ethernet ports along with dual combo RJ-45+SFP ports. A 56 Gbps switching capacity, a 16K MAC address table, and a 9K jumbo frame ensures optimal performance even when the switch is being pushed to its limit. Network administrators also benefit from dedicated LED indicators showing both system, link/act, and max PoE status.

We recently upgraded our network. PoE+ is amazing and it worked well out of the box with minimum configuration. The small office we serve was significantly improved by this upgrade. Stability and adaptability really make this product easy to use. And, PoE+ to our access points is really cool. I had not seen it before and really enjoyed only needing an Ethernet cable to provide power.

This switch is good entry level device for an individual or business that needs PoE functionality, but is limited on the expense side. It provides you with the core features of a managed switch but in a clean, simple interface. Additionally with this device, you have two ports available for higher bandwidth connections using the SFP ports. The cooling and airflow on this device are well designed to keep the unit from overheating. Overall, this device is solid and is a great addition for people looking to get managed switch functionality without breaking the bank.
