It cooks well just like my other Lodge cast iron, and the enamel makes it so one doesn’t have to worry about moisture/acid foods affecting the seasoning of traditional cast. Great for soups and tomato based items.This is large-I have included a picture with a can for scale. If you are not familiar with cast iron and or porcelain, then you might wish to start with something smaller. This weighs 18#s with lid. But, if you are are familiar, then this is a great piece with capacity for gatherings.
