This is a great addition to my cast iron camping gear. It does a great job withstanding campfires. Even better, I had great success making stews, roasted duck, brownies, cake and even cheesecake over open fire when camping. Very sturdy cast iron construction. This one will last a lifetime. Has many uses. You can be rough with it and place it into a campfire or on a grill or cure it and use it conventionally on the stove. The wire curl handle is sturdy and has a little give which is good when picked up completely full.
