When I got my new cooktop, I decided to buy a griddle and I’m so glad that I did. I choose Lodge because of it’s reputation and the fact that it is a long-time family owned US company. I use it all of the time. My husband watched a video on the best way to make a burger, and cast iron won out. I immediately decided to try it. 4 min on each side and it was perfect. It easy to clean.I let it cool off then wipe it with a paper towel, wash it with hot water (and a metal scrubber if there is anything that won’t just rinse off) and dry with a paper towel. I only found two issues with the griddle. It is heavy. I would say about 30 lbs. and for this 72 year old lady, that is heavy. Second, when I use it I have to remember to turn on the stove fan or it sets off the smoke alarms. If I forget, the smoke alarms remind me to turn on the fan. LOL

It’s my fourth Lodge cast iron pan. I love how they cook. They heat well and retain heat for a long time. I use oil so food doesn’t stick and it’s easy to clean them.With the large size, cooking a lot of pancakes or grilling burgers for the whole family is quick!

I thought I would use it more, but I find it to be cumbersome to use. It’s heavy. I got it to use on my middle burner but you can’t use another pan at the same time, not enough stovetop space.
