The thinness of the overlay is good, but they made the buttons too tall. The rubber stick above the buttons and does not fit.

I like working the skin on top of my keyboard it helps me learn the short cuts and keeps my keyboard clean at the same time.

Although a little pricey. It does what it’s supposed to. And it will help me learn Final Cut x faster and easier.

This skin fits well, feels nice and saves editing time. It is absolutely money well spent if you are going to be using FCPX on your laptop.

This is an easy to use reference tool for Final Cut Pro. The cover is thin enough that you barely notice it when you’re typing. A must have for anyone that wants to navigate FCPX quickly!

I relay like it but in a new retina display it wont fit perfect, it bumps up on the F6 and F7 keys, and also on the space bar.

This FCP X keyboard cover I bought is just as advertised — high quality and looks great. It does take some getting used to, but after you work with it for awhile and do some editing in FCP X, you do get more familiar with the keys and their specific keyboard tool / shortcuts. A few little things would make it a 5 though. First, the paperwork includes a one-page FCP X shortcut list. Potentially very helpful. However in order to squeeze all of the shortcuts onto one piece of paper = the letter fronts are extremely small (maybe 6-8). So it is very difficult to use the sheet. My workaround was to scan the page and make it very large and save it, so I can use as a quick reference. Also, the keys of the keyboard cover are color-coded and the materials refer to the color coordinated categories, But again, the instruction materials don’t tell you what the categories are. The materials do include a tel number which I called and spoke with a very helpful chap named Howard who explained the categories and also emailed them to me. Overall, I would recommend this product to FCP X users or anyone trying to get more familiar with the FCP X keyboard shortcuts.
