   I opted for this overlay rather than spend extra to get a custom Avid set of keys. The overlay fits the keyboard perfectly, and functions well. Just a couple of gripes: Mac keys are very flat and short travel, so the overlay makes it even tougher to type (until you get used to it). Also, the overlay can ‘flap up’ at the space bar if you are a heavy-handed typist. All in all a really good value, but you might rather spring the extra cash to get a purpose-built keyboard if you’re a heavy writer/editor.

   I purchased the keyboard cover just over a month ago, and have used it with avid every single day since. It makes post production much easier and faster, especially when learning the software. I also own their keyboard for my main machine, but for a laptop this is more than enough.

   Not too much to say, it fit the wireless keyboard for my iMac, and even though it’s easy to remove it I’ll probably just leave it on there, it protects the keyboard and I can still use the keyboard without a problem outside AVID. It says it is for an older version of the program, but it has the icons I was looking for, I’m happy with it.

   Really like this item for a Mac Book Pro with our Avid software. The thin rubber sleeve that covers the keys is tight and fits perfectly. Cover is also so easy to read and we can now move quickly knowing which keys control what. This is a good one.
